Friendly, useful mom support
I usually use Facebook for mom stuff but obviously those groups can be very niche and judgmental. This platform is great because somehow it’s managed to avoid all of that! The only downside is, I wish there were more people on it, but I know those things take time.
Amazing Parent Resource
I have joined so many online groups since I became pregnant with my first son. Mum’s The Word finally feels like a respectful and resource driven community. There is no fearmongering or silly comments on questions. I was able to very quickly and easily find my new obgyn during my second pregnancy and find a night nurse who was a referral from a mother in my local community. I have a number of pinned local businesses and pinned referrals that I was able to group by category in my own “Little Black Book” so that I don’t forget the good advice I receive in the app. It is a supportive community, and I am so thankful that it was created.
