Hi, if people will read this, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WEB VERSION IS BETTER! Here are my Pros and Cons between the app and web version: Pros: A bit cleaner UI..? if you count it- Cons: Auto scroll being hella annoying, "cant play because the keyboard is showing even though in the settings its clearly turned off!!11," WORSE audio??? somehow? how do you remotely get super different audios on the SAME site? Pushy free trials (cancelled immediately) and a sometimes laggy interface that takes literal months to update. (I changed my username TWO MONTHS ago, and it STILL shows my old one..) Please fix this. Im being SUPER generous giving two stars. What ever happened to making music "accessible to everyone?"

Doesn’t work
Randomly stopped working for no reason, tried everything to get it working again, all my other apps are working just fine. No matter how many times I restart my device nothing works. It just keeps loading and after a while it’ll tell me what I’m searching for doesn’t exist no matter what I search for, the infinite loading applies for anything that requires loading.

Are Composers Paid?
I do like MuseScore for the fact that I can usually find music for myself and my students at different levels. The one thing I do not like is that the original composers are often not credited for the music. I will see that the arranger will leave off the name of the actual composer. I don’t know if the composers are paid for their music to be sold/downloaded. If not then it is really unfair and then why am I paying a membership fee?

Charges a subscription fee without consent, shameful.
I’m another user who wanted to quickly buy my daughter a score, it charged me the one time fee and started charging a subscription without my consent through dark patterns.

Have taken payment even though i cancelled
I signed up for the free trial to download a specific score, cancelled my subscriptions (as they appear to have subscribed me to something I didn’t ask to be subscribed to) straightaway and then took payment anyway. I have requested a refund and been told no as I subscribed and it’s been past the 14 days, never mind the fact I cancelled. So £69.99 has been taken out of my account so one score, which I also had to pay for has cost me a fortune. Absolutely don’t bother with it.

I have subscription app is erroring out
Do not waste your money upgrading this app. I paid to unlock sheet music, but even after upgrading, the sheets remain completely inaccessible. It is a total bait-and-switch. When I immediately reached out to customer support to get a refund for a service that doesn't even work, they denied my request and said I wasn't eligible. Absolutely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this app!

Do not trust the “free trial”. This app uses deceptive “dark pattern” menus to trick into a hidden $119 annual subscription, followed by an “Pro” charge before “the trial” even starts. I canceled on the same day, only to find that I cancelled only the “renewal”, and I am charged a total of $139 already. Apple’s automated system denies the refund because of how the developers structures their billing. And MuseScore’s support only sends robotic, unhelpful replies refusing to fix it. They are locking users into expensive yearly plans for services they never intended to buy and will never use. A quick search on social media shows that many other users have walked into this exact same trap. STAY AWAY!!

This site is a rip off. Thought I was buying one sheet of music for autumn leaves and I wound up with a 49.99 charge for a sub subscription that I did not purchase and I can’t figure out how to stop it. I’ve disputed the charge on my credit card.

Dark UX Pattern
I opened the app because I wanted to read some notation, and I was presented with a screen to subscribe either monthly or annually. I didn’t want to subscribe at this time, but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to close out of the screen. The close button was tucked away in the top left corner of the screen — an unintuitive location for a very important button.
I’ll be honest, this has soured my feelings for MuseScore. It’s a nice app with tons of music, but some of the UX choices are questionable. If the dark UX pattern is abandoned, and an obvious, “Maybe next time,” secondary button was added, I would change my rating to 4 stars.
