The EQ is not accessible to voiceover users
I am a visually impaired person who purchased the PI8 earbuds. I downloaded the Bowers and Wilkins app and with voiceover you cannot use the EQ settings. You can set it for the true sound, but that’s all you can do. If you turn VoiceOver off you can move the sliders a bit, but you can’t tell what you’re doing in the app so I am writing that giving the app a two rating until this changes. I have inquired several times as to whether they could change it or Not, and have not received a response back nor has the update reflected a change. in closing I’d like to say two other things I’m sure many visually impaired people would like to use Bowers and Wilkins headphones, but we can’t get the full appreciation of the headphones without the EQ. The second thing I’d like to say Bowers and Wilkins is in a lot of theaters and in a lot of places and I’m sure they’ve taken images Sound images of those places and why we don’t have a hellacious number of presets. I don’t have a guest.

A pain to connect
For such an expensive product the setup with the app is clunky and very frustrating.
What a mess ...
Great headphones. But the app ... truly dreadful. Verification doesn't work, the UI is all over the place, there are mysterious delays, buttons need to be pressed twice, information is not intuitively laid out, it's an ergonomics fail.
It just looks like you've lost interest in it. This is simply astonishing considering how good the headphones are, and more importantly, how much the whole package costs.
You need to address this urgently. It's a reputational issue.

A variety of issues
The app does its job, but I don’t see the point of requiring a B&W account. You should be able to use the app without an account.
On another note, B&W needs to do a better job with its headphone firmware. Both B&W headphones I’ve had (including the PX7 S3) have the extremely irritating habit of lowering their noise cancelling automatically when I’m in certain extremely noisy environments, which is exactly the opposite of what I want it to do. At the very least you should be able to turn off this automatic changing in the app, because it works poorly.
Secondly, the headphones love to pause when my head moves, regardless of sensitivity. This could easily be fixed by having the pause only activate if the headphone is detected as being off one’s head for a minimum amount of time - there seems to be no minimum right now and that’s just bad programming.

Did nobody ever test this?
Impossible to sign up. Terrible text input. Stuck in endless loop with email verification not working and my inbox getting spammed with non functional links.
Trying to work around and sign up with Google account instead gets you signed up … to then get stuck back in the initial email verification nonsense again.
So much for the premium experience. Maybe spend some of the money on a QA intern ..

Can’t confirm account
I can’t finish creating the account. When I receive the email with the confirmation link and click on it, the application opens to a page where it asks me to verify my email. However, the verification doesn't go through, and I only have the options to cancel or resend the email.

Low quality app from supposedly high-end audio company
It seems almost paradoxical that a company striving for a reputation as luxury, premium, high-end etc would have such a rubbish app. Firstly, you need to login to it to use it - and can’t even check your earbud battery level or make other adjustments without logging in. It’s as if the company never even considers someone may use the earbuds on an airplane (and hence have no Internet connectivity).
And when you do log in, settings are hidden away behind several menus/screens/taps while they devote the bulk of the main screen to other music apps to download.

No app no fun
Tried to purchase the Pi8 today. Went to retail store, put on the earphones, installed the app. Then the fun began: app required registration, and the link in the registration mail send me straight back to the “register email” page. Tried several times with the retailer’s staff, again and again the same result. Managed to get to the reset password, which seemed to work, but then again got stuck at the register email page, coming from a link sent to the “unregistered” mail address. Since B&W doesn’t pay me to test their app, I finally decided to go for Sony’s latest WF-1000XM6. Sound is fantastic, app is great and on top the price is only 53% of the Pi8. Good bye, B&W! 🥳

Software Glitch
Just received the Px8 headphones...they are great. The problem is that there is a software update and I have tried EVERYTHING suggested and it will NOT install. New version is 3.1.0. Any help is appreciated. Very frustrating.

Account verification loop issue
The account setup is a disaster. It constantly loops back to verify the email over and over. There was just no way to get past this until I deinstalled the app, and did a PW reset from the web. It finally let me in!!!! A garbage process. App seemed fine once I got in.
User hostile signup
This app is user hostile, and had the worse user experience of any application that I’ve used.
1. Cannot use password manager because copy/paste is prohibited.
2. Verification doesn’t work correctly and the app never accepts my signup code.
3. Why do I need an account to manage my local headphones.
I’m seriously considering just returning the two pair of B&W headphones I purchased for this alone.
