Great
so frustrating
i’ve been using musicnotes for a little while now and the app is unbelievably glitchy when it comes to purchases and transpositions. i’ve purchased a song 2 days ago, it hasn’t come through to the library, and support hasn’t gotten back to me. On that note, contacting support is awful. Literally got nowhere. Not even sure it was even lodged at the end of all that. Planning to dispute the charge with apple now.

Terrible app for flute
Awkward filtering to find flute music. Limited choices. While trialing the app, trying to use a Bluetooth foot pedal on the free version was complete frustration. Hit the pedal, and “sign up for Pro!” Pops up every time instead of a second page.
App is Completely Useless
I am paying a lot of money for the Pro Premium version and I can’t even access my music library in the app. Literally, nothing is there. Completely useless.
Can’t live without his app
I love the is app and all the music. The subscriptions are worth it. I play for a small church and for a local nursing home. This is so helpful for songs that they ask for!!! Highly recommend. Easy to use
Pen function needs fixed
As a pianist I have to be able mark my music without it jerking and scribbling all over the page.
Pedal randomly stopped working with app during a performance and hasn't worked since
I was using my pedal to turn pages in MusicNotes for literal years when one day, it randomly stopped working. I followed all of the suggestions on their website, and it actually messed up the keyboard settings for my iPad in general. I'm not sure if it's the latest update, or maybe a strategy to get more people to purchase PDFs instead of reading from the app, but this issue has severely detrimented several of my professional performances already. I would definitely avoid this app until they have the pedal issue comletely resolved.

Major Systems Issues - No Correction 2+ Years!
Musicians who need a reliable app for performances; DO NOT USE THIS APP! I’m stuck with this app bc of the amount of music I have purchased in the many years I’ve had it. It shuts down MULTIPLE times during performances, closes the app out entirely in the middle of songs, freezes during searches, only lets me upload one song at a time for set list creations, and so on. I have tried tech support, I have updated my iPad, archived songs as suggested, and still nothing. I told tech support this and crickets. They offered me no further suggestions, no fixes.
So what do I do? Improv. I’ve learned to improv with one hand while reopening the app and finding the song with the other. I don’t recommend it, it’s stressful when you’re in the middle of, say, a wedding processional.
Do not use this app if you will want a large library, if you’ll want to import .pdfs, or if you want reliability. It’s been garbage for me for 2+ years but I’m too financial invested in the music purchased at this point to stop using it. So learn from me: try something else.

Glitches
Great app maybe more options for music and sometimes when I click on a song a video pops up for a second or the song can glitch out these are honestly some easy code fix’s with ai like Claude over all great job on the app

This app is not good on the iPhone. Any music I bought is so small on the screen you can’t see it if it’s in portrait position, landscape is easier to see but doesn’t run smooth , flickers and judders all over the place making it impossible to follow. It’s pretty rubbish which won’t encourage me to buy more or pay for the app which I think is the point.

AI customer service, NOT
I make an error on my order. This was because the website would not allow me to review my order. What I received were item I did nothing t request. I attempted to work with their AI chat with New success. Stop with the AI chat until it is more versed in communication. I am done with this app.

Servers are down
Trying to login for 1h. Clicked forgot password - nothing happens. And later I got 14 emails. Service is down. Ironically they push users to have all sheets in the app. And when it is not working you don’t have access to them. 1 star. Probably they fired all devs and hired vibecoders
Amazing app, and then….
This has been a great app. I’ve loved it. And now suddenly, the app prevents me from viewing any sheet music in the shop. I updated the app, to make sure, and it did not solve the problem.
New update broke the sign in
I updated the app and I can no longer sign in to my account. It just keeps attempting to load the account and I have left it actively trying to sign in for 5 minutes
Thankful
At 65 Ive self taught myself to play the piano via the internet, and many books which has been a dream come true. When I came across “Musicnotes”, I hurried and purchased it knowing that it too would be another great help to me. And I must say, it was no mistake it’s been the VERY BEST BLESSING by far. The music is wonderful, you have so much to choose from, what key you want to play in, I can’t say enough you just need to get it. Thank you Musicnotes , God bless you all.

Why are only certain keys available?
Absolutely absurd that songs can be transposed, but not to any key. Why?? Ridiculous. Seems like every time I or a student wants a song in a different key, it happens to be one of the few keys that is not available.
Also a lot of these songs have lots of typos. They should give refunds for typos. Really sloppy, non-consumer friendly service.

PDFs
I’m experiencing problems with pdfs being locked. The files open on my phone and computer however they don’t work on music notes app. If I remove the files, I still have problems because all of the songs that previously worked don’t until I close the app and reopen. I need reliability for gigs and I’m not getting it. Also, the help line doesn’t help. No customer service support seems available.
I plan to adjust this rating if the problem is resolved.
