I'd give it 0 stars if i could

community has tried to use this system - it's a joke. most functions within the app don't work, and tech support provides no support. Regular answer is "we're working on that problem" - with no improvement.

Awesome App!

I’ve always loved this app, but the new My MVI app totally takes this to a new level! MVI is going to be on every building in no time.

Made my life easier

Omg I love this app! I’m constantly misplacing my keys and with this I don’t need to physically have my keys with me! I also love how I don’t have to walk all the way to the entrance to let my friends in I can just buzz them in while seeing who is at the door. One of the best parts is that I can easily receive my Amazon deliveries, and I cannot forget how safe this system makes me feel.

Horrible

The last person commented that this app is glitchy and that is correct. When it works, it works. When it does not it simply does not and that’s more than 50% of the time. I’ve missed several deliveries fue to the app not working. Delivery person rings, the app calls my phone, I attempt to open the door remotely and the app will not allow. The delivery person leaves with my package. Feels unacceptable for a building to use this system because it’s unreliable and causes a safety concern when you are stuck outside or a major inconvenience when deliveries can’t be made. Frustrating. DO NOT USE. I’m in NYC - do not use/invest.

Avoid at ALL COSTS

The worst piece of garbage I’ve ever encountered. It NEVER works. 80% of the time my packages get marked as unable to deliver because the app won’t even open and I can’t get down to the ground floor fast enough to catch the delivery person. A pain for friends, I usually just meet them at the door rather than have them try to figure out this overly complicated system, only for it not to work. I’d rather have a normal buzzer. Honestly I’m a little impressed with how poorly designed this app is.

Glitchy and Frustrating

I wish my building didn’t use this system. The concept is a good one. When the app works as intended, it’s a convenient product. You can buzz people in from your phone no matter where you are. But it often doesn’t work. I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s still a tossup as to whether or not the app will work each time. And let me be clear even when it does work, there’s still a weird lag but at least you can open the door, see who is there, etc. Currently, when I try to open the door, I’m met with the logo screen and then the app exits. I’ve just resorted to asking ppl to please call me so I can come down. Completely useless. If you are a landlord or property manager, LOOK ELSEWHERE, but if you insist, then get assurances about the tech and improvements or be prepared to get complaints from your residents (rightfully so)…

Terrible

App crashes when someone calls the front door and therefore they can get in.

Works once in a blue moon

Just ran down (and back up) four flights of stairs because this app refused to connect to the front door. This app works maybe one out ten times.

Barely functional

Takes forever for the app to pull up and load. By the time someone calls to buzz in the call is done. The only way I can effectively buzz someone up is if I already have the app open and am staring at it. Please fix!!

Rarely connects to the door

Good in theory but usually doesn’t actually connect to the door and takes forever to open when it does

Doorbells were a solved problem

And now my landlord is forcing me to use janky software that never works. And needs constant updating. All so I can—and I can’t emphasize this enough—have a doorbell.

This App is gives you control

I’ve been using it for some time. MVI is a great solution.

We need more stuff like this. it helps my community keep and restrict entry control.

Building managers - please don’t get this!

If you’re a building manager, please please please don’t inflict this on your tenants. It’s a buggy mess. Opens the door like 20% of the time.

Imagine is this app works? Would be great no?

Actually this app was created horribly. The app freezes making hard and mission impossible to buzz a visitor or deliveries. Since the management company set this up have been a very bad experience having to answer the door. Dont get exited by this because is not just my building other friends building have the same problem in NYC so definitely the app and the operating system is poorly developed. Don’t ruin your door management system for this horrible app.

Awful.

I suspect my property managers nephew or something made this.

One step forward, two steps backwards.

UI is beyond bad. Most relevant functions completely hidden.

No way for guests watching your cats to use the buzzer.

If you and your partner/roommate whatever answer at same time, it crashes and takes 30 seconds for the connection to time out. This is basically you not answering the delivery.

Totally unacceptable.

You can buzz remotely is the only nice thing, but that is bare minimum functionality and everything else blows.

Buggy and unreliable

I walk downstairs to let ppl in before MVI MyKey even works. Really poorly designed and executed app

Ads in App

Our building pays for this service and yet we are shown ads in the app. This company is double dipping on subscriptions and ad revenue, delivering a lower quality of service to its clients.

Crashes way way too often

Something responsible for the entrance of my home should not be so buggy. Every time someone buzzes I cannot answer and the app crashes. Have used this app for two years. iPhone 13 mini

Garbage

When someone calls you, even if you catch the call right away, after you swipe to answer, the call usually either fails or stops ringing at that point because it takes too long to launch the app and connect with the box.

There’s also an option to connect to the box from the app, like perhaps if the app wasn’t able to connect to the call in time, but that fails most of the time. And by then, the delivery person is gone. Why not just have an Unlock Door button in the app, that lets you allow entry without having to receive a call first?

Butterfly MX has the option for a phone call, where you can just press 9 to let someone in, and in my experience was the most reliable method. I wish MVI had this. Sometimes old-school solutions are the most efficient. Especially when your product literally doesn’t work most of the time.

It’s incredibly frustrating in a large city when you’re trying to receive packages securely or just want to able to let your guests in efficiently and reliably.

But this company shows advertising on a building entry pad, so that pretty much says everything about them, and the kind of property management company that would elect for this system.

Bottom of the barrel.

You’re a hardware company not a 3rd tier news website!!

Edit: if not for my sanity, it could be the cause of the inconsistent performance everyone is reporting
