Disappointed
The idea of the app is great however there aren’t a lot of aurora activity in my area - so why does the Aurora Pro app need to know my exact location if auroras in a generalized area??? The app keeps annoying me by popping up, asking me to allow it to know my “precise location” so that it can forecast auroras. Annoying much? I cry b.s. The app only needs to know my general location. It doesn’t need to know specifically where I am. If it’s going to insist on knowing my exact location in order to work, then I’m not going to keep using it. I have a right to my privacy, that includes my exact location.

Die Polarlicht Pro App ist für mich eine richtig starke Hilfe, wenn es um die Beobachtung von Nordlichtern geht. Die Informationen sind übersichtlich dargestellt, gut verständlich und auch für Einsteiger schnell nutzbar. Besonders hilfreich finde ich die aktuellen Werte, Prognosen und Hinweise, mit denen man besser einschätzen kann, ob sich ein Blick nach draußen lohnt.
Die App wirkt zuverlässig, klar strukturiert und macht einfach Freude, wenn man sich für Himmel, Natur und besondere Lichtphänomene begeistert. Gerade für Menschen, die Polarlichter nicht nur im hohen Norden, sondern auch gelegentlich in Deutschland beobachten möchten, ist sie ein echter Mehrwert.
Von mir eine klare Empfehlung — eine schöne, praktische und motivierende App für alle, die den Himmel im Blick behalten wollen.

Wurde Mehrfach auf Polarlichter hingewiesen die ich sonst verpasst hätte.
Ersetzt natürlich nicht regelmäßiges Nachsehen (Aurora ist halt recht dynamisch) aber man weiß wann und ob es lohnt nachts aufzustehen…

This app came in handy, so many times. I got some great pictures of the aurora borealis.
Inaccurate chance of view
This app is great for notifications that there will be an aurora but the rated chance it gives me of seeing the aurora is totally inaccurate. It always says 0% chance of seeing the aurora yet I have seen three spectacular auroras so far.
Falsche Werte
Ich werde immer wieder schreiben das die App nichts bringt. Die Daten springen lustig hoch und runter. Nie Stimmt etwas und im vergleich zu Internetseiten stimmt hier gar nichts. Sonnenwinde sind gut vorhersehbar. Keiner kann nach 15 Minuten sagen, da hat sich für jetzt etwas geändert. Mies! Egal wie oft ihr sie löscht.

Formidable !!!
App fantastique qui permet de ne rien rater quand l’occasion se présente 👍. Perso je règle les notifications à partir d’un Kp de 6, et si la météo est de la partie ça peut être génial ! La dernière en date du 19 janvier est montée à 8 Kp j’ai pu faire de magnifiques photos !!! L’app mérite qu’on prenne la version pro.

It's a very good app, but…there are not enough forecasts for moonless nights and anticyclones over the regions :)
You’ll get warnings even if it’s in another country
I have my settings to notify being set to over seven so that I wouldn’t miss the good northern lights, however, it notifies me a literally every time it’s got one going even if it’s on the other side of the world. I wish I thought setting was for your specific area only and not everywhere.

Great app!
Along with compiling and condensing frequently updated data from multiple sources, it provides links to those sources (via the FAQ in the settings) for more detailed explanations of the data, how they are collected, and how to use them. I highly recommend the app for the Aurora-curious and encourage users to “buy (them) a cuppa” to help the developers continue to support such a fun app!
