Autoplaying Video Ads!
App is now autoplaying video ads when I'm trying to build a cart. Made me immediately close the app and use a competitor. Seriously, this is beneath your brand. Turn it off or at least give me the option to!
$7 delivery tip
I was really sick and needed delivery. Mind you it was 2 light grocery bags of items. My location is a 5min drive from HEB. They really wanted me to pay automatic $7 tip I can't adjust and the delivery fee. Good bye lost me as a customer.

Cross device compatibility
Love the app and how accessible it is, but I would love if I could access my shopping list on both my iPad and my phone.
Slow App
The App is okay. It runs slow to open and still hard to navigate compared to others.
New Coupon UI is bad
This new update has made using the coupon functionality a huge challenge. It now takes twice the amount of time to view coupons and if you scroll down too much the app starts to lag. This change in the UI is a backwards decision. The UX team should be ashamed of making a mess of an update that has severely damaged the reputation of HEB’s quality.

Free pickup is NOT FREE
HEB needs to state this clearly in the app. Each item will have up to _% price increase if picking up!!
Price Hiking on Pickup
They are so shady and criminal. They price hike all the items on pick up. With delivery I kind of get it but with pick up absolutely unacceptable and shady. What is the point if I’m still picking up my groceries? I will not be using this app any longer.

I’ve asked the app support numerous times to alphabetize our list of prescriptions. It’s hard to hunt through a long list and attempt to manage your meds and make sure you’ve got everything updated. They’ve never responded with an explanation of why they chose to not do it for us.
All you ever hear from them is “We’ll pass it along to the appropriate team”.
The appropriate team will NOT respond with any excuse. They just won’t do it.

Busy Mom
I really first started using this app in 2023 after becoming a new mom. It has been pivotal in postpartum recovery making it easy to order curbside pickup, delivery, or just help me make a list. I now have two babies running around and still loving the app. It’s so hard to make it out of the house with 2 under 3. Idk what I would do without my HEB app. The few times I’ve had an issue with my order, HEB resolved it quickly. The coupons are great and help me stay in budget. HEB may be my favorite thing about living in Texas and I know I’m not the only one. Thank you all!

Check/uncheck feature needs work
Ugh I swear the number of trips I have to make to HEB because of this check/uncheck feature in the list is infuriating.
We keep a continual list and check/uncheck items each week, and add any new items we need. Sometimes I add an item, forgetting it’s already in the list, way at the bottom and checked off. The app then adds a quantity of 1 to that item but keeps it checked. If I’m adding an item already on the list, the app should uncheck the item and prompt me to ensure the quantity is correct. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve audited the list to find we have 4 loaves of bread checked off but none in the house— because we all added bread but never saw it active in the list when at the store, because “adding” isn’t the same as “unchecking.”

Yall claim to be so about the community of Texas and act like you like people but yall are just another corporation honestly, the prices have been rising every two weeks for years now and yall just won't stop. You can stop, you choose not to. It's not "inflation" anymore it's just greed and I'm sick of it. I mean quite frankly target used to be known for expensive groceries, now I can make the same order over there PLUS a big box of diapers and spend less on my weekly grocery haul. This is getting ridiculous. Y'all need to stop. You do not care about the community who have kids to feed, and themselves to feed so they can stay healthy and strong to get to their jobs that pay for your millions upon millions you profit. And let's talk about curbside. I'm always missing items and I'm tired of contacting the store about it because they always have this "idc" attitude. Like "oh we didn't give you stuff you paid for? Oh well just come back and get it then" your prices are out of hand and tell me why curbside keeps packs of water bottles outside. THIS IS TEXAS. ITS SUMMER TIME. LIKE HELLOOOO????? Idc if they're in the shade that's no excuse, i never saw cases of water outside before curbside existed so i know it's possible to keep it all inside where the AC is, I don't buy yalls water bottles anymore because of it I make sure to buy non heb brand stuff.

Missing one essential item
Unlike my Walmart app, this one doesn’t recognize which HEB store I’m in. There are two stores near me and I have to manually select the current store. How archaic! Let the app read my location. I have location services turned on for the app, so use it.
Love it
I started using curbside during the pandemic since then I’ve continued to use curbside and absolutely love it. The people who work curbside are the sweetest people on the planet and they always have everything I need. I don’t remember the last time. I stepped foot in a grocery store, thank you H-E-B.
