Buggy

Tiresome and buggy. Pages will not save, after multiple attempts. No error messages to guide user why a seemingly completed page is defective. I suspect the fault lies in the developer, and not the user

More nil points than 999

Once you’ve got through the very clunky booking interface (out of the 80s), they take payment — or at least try to. App hangs, lots of blank pages and then, after several minutes, email arrives to say they’ve cancelled your appointment.

Given the prices HCA charge, maybe some should be spent on their IT and app?

The app doesn’t work

It requires two factor authentication, but when you input the code you received by mobile, it just shows error message and you are not able to connect to your account. The desperate part is this issue has been escalated for months and the user still can’t access to the account

BUGGY App stopped me from paying

BUGGY 2022, 2023, 2024 October: The app pretends to take credit card details for annual subscription renewal but then goes to a blank screen when you try to confirm. It seems the app and the phone booking systems only have the booking aspect right, the rest is an untested shambles and has been for a year now.

Lower your expectations as HCA don’t really care, well they say they do, but their actions show they don’t. It worries me that if at the first contact with HCA poor attention to detail seems prominent, is their clinical care just as bad?
You have to use their phone or in office booking, as they can’t run the app effectively.

Okay, could be better

App is generally okay, but sometimes the website is easier. It would be good if results could be connected to Apple Health and on iPad landscape screen options would be helpful

Two factor authentication so secure, you can’t log on

The great new innovation of TFA is more so sectors that you can’t log on, no matter how often you give the correct code sent to you.

Does not work

Worked once and then just never let me sign in again - just always thinking so can’t actually use it .

Stopped working

This has been working really well but now I cannot sign in. I've reset my password and can only access web version called med base.

After recent update it hangs and won’t login

Since recent update I can’t login on the app. I have reinstalled the app and am up to date on software updates. It’s clearly a bug. Try to login and Face ID accepts with green tick but it just hangs at sign in. Tried taking off Face ID and manually putting in password but still hangs. App now unusable and having to log in to GP through web portal. Please fix this app issue

Full of glitches

This app is full of glitches and bugs, some which make features unusable. Your development team really need to apply more scrutiny to your quality assurance process.

Wouldn’t let me join video appointment

Just downloaded it and logged in. It only had one job.

Fails in basics

I’m trying to book my first appointment. Here are the failures the app has had, which is making it useless:
- I shouldn’t have to pay because I’m getting this benefit through my employer. But it’s telling me I need to pay for a GP consultation.
- I tried to pay three times and each time, after entering my credit card information, I get a blank white screen, no payment having been taken.
- I tried to look up where HCA locations are. It won’t let me select an appointment type and when I press search I get some error. I assume it’s related to having not entered an appointment type. But the error message is actually blank so I don’t know what it’s problem is.

Application crashes when starting video appointment

Very distressing when attempting to see a doctor and the application just quits.

Great app

This app and service is great. So easy to use.

Great App and super useful service

Downloaded this on Friday and have found it incredibly easy to use, the sign up process is intuitive and the services from virtual consultations to being able to see a GP across London (in really useful locations). The benefits that are bundled into the membership seem exceptional value for money.

With Flu and Norivirus laying my colleagues flat at the moment I’ve now go the piece of mind that I can have a consultation via my phone or visit a Gp.

Great App and great service when I’ve spoken to them. Very happy.

Convenient, and helpful app

Simple to book appointments using the app, and the clinic is next to my office. Very happy!

Booked without pay confirmation

This app doesn’t have the correct workflow. Once you choose the gp booking. It will take you to the payment screen (but by then it is booked even before you input any card details; you OWE money to the company already); you will not get a chance to cancel (unless a £75 fee)! What is more frustrating is I have company cover to pay for this and they don’t even give me a chance to choose this when I’m choosing the booking when I’m not logged in (I.e. the log in doesn’t recognise you when you re enter the app). I had to call the helpline to sort this. Just want to warn people on this. I don’t even know if this is legal to charge people without a confirmation and make the cancelling the same cost as the booking cost.
