Video Issue

You can only upload one video a day. Once the video is uploaded you can’t download it and get it back. You have to pay for a subscription. So your videos are lost if you don’t save them somewhere else. Very disappointing. This app had so much potential.

Frustrating

Forgot my password and asked for reset. I received a link but it asks for old password. So I am locked out.

I respect that this app tells you on the app store what the fees are. They are not sneaky.
However…
I uploaded a few videos and don’t see any benefit to keeping them in this format. Much easier to send videos directly to my friends.

Remove the phone number sign up

I can deal with giving my email but my phone number is way too much for an app that collects photos. You have to verify your number too in order to actually use the functionality of the app. I don’t get why this information is relevant? I’ve had to remove it as didn’t feel comfortable with that at all.

Looked promising, but no support

I was really excited to give this a try. I tried it out before creating an account and it seemed interesting. However, when I tried to create an account a glitch happened, and I lost the photos I had taken prior to creating an account. I’ve never been able to log into the account I made to try and save those photos. I’ve emailed the developer several times with absolutely no response. It may be a great app, but I have not been able to try it and have not been able to get any support.

Good Morning, I apologize for the delay. There has been an issue discovered causing a problem with signing up which should be resolved within a week. Also you must create an account before taking photos and videos that you wish to be saved. Please try again in about a week and if still having an issue please email us at support@mylifejournalapp.com. Thank you.

Couldn’t even create account

Tried multiple times to get the code sent to my phone to verify, came the next morning but by that point I couldn’t get back there because when I went to log in it said my password was wrong. Went to reset my password and it said it would send another text link but that never came. Trying another app instead.

Super helpful

I know this is more of a video journaling app, but I’ve been using it as therapy for 2 years now. I see a therapist, but sometimes I just feel like talking out how I feel. But sometimes I don’t have anyone to talk to or I just don’t want to unload my feelings into someone else. So instead I talk to myself in video form on here. It’s great because I can go back and watch old videos of how I felt in that time of my life and I can see how I’ve improved and changed. My one suggestions would be to make it so I can record videos for longer than 5 minutes. But other than that I love the app and it’s helped me immensely

Can’t journal.

Will give it a 3star because it has a nice interface. I have tried several times to journal but when I save my data and try to re-open it there’s nothing that shows. All I see is blank page. Am glad I didn’t buy the pro version other wise it would all be for nothing. Still having second thoughts whether I should delete the app or not as am still trying to make it work. Hope the developers reach out and fix the issue.

Not Good

Premium membership doesn’t provide good features.. there’s no option of selecting multiple photos or videos.. too much work required.. not user friendly

Pretty good

I was looking for an easier way to video diary my life, this app doesn’t that perfectly. The only issue for me is that you can’t export the data outside the app, it would be nice to be have that ability.

One day at a time

I love that I can take a video or photo and share those memories with myself and others. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I wish we could upload more than one photo a day. Still love the app.

Amazing customer support!!

I had an issue with the app working for me, so I emailed the customer support and they got to me in a very timely manner and looked into my issue. They ended up finding a bug and fixing It and now everything works perfectly!! Throughout the whole process they kept emailing me updates, making sure I knew they hadn’t forgotten about me—it was fabulous, thank you so much!

Pretty good

I really like this app and think it is very easy to use and makes life more memorable. For the new year one of the first things I went to do was go and watch my 2020 movie on the app. It was fun to watch but I really wish it incorporated videos I took throughout the year instead of just pictures. It was also kind of confusing because the pictures were in a random order. Overall the app is great, I just wish there was a way for videos and pictures to be incorporated and in the order of the year.

Thank you so much for your review. I am so happy you like the app and got to see your 2020 movie. At this time we do not have that as a feature for the photos to be in chronological order, but this is a good suggestion for future improvements. Right now here is what you you can do to edit your movie. If you tap on your 2020 movie, then click the pencil icon in the top right, you can then select the photos you want or don’t want to appear in the movie, and also change the background music.

Would I be able to take multiple photos and videos per day without the premium option? And is there a free option to upload to the cloud? (Will all my photos in the app disappear if I delete them off my camera roll or my phone crashes?)
And can I save my life videos without premium?
