Horrible connection.
If you ever unplug the robot from its controller box you basically have to start over from the beginning by deleting app and sign in again just to hope it will reconnect. Very aggravating.

Robot is great but the app is obnoxious
The app is fine. It having to enter your email address every time then waiting for a code to be emailed is obnoxious. Just let us stay logged in or work with Face ID. The login is ridiculous
Practically useless with the Active 60 (2026)
This app has features that don’t work. I can never get the history. It’s always blank. I can’t ever manually drive my active 60 (my model is supposed to have this feature) it just continually “thinks” and I can’t ever get past the “thinking“ mode to get to the controls to actually control my robot. The pick me up mode doesn’t work as the robot just wanders aimlessly around the pool finally finding a wall and as soon as it gets to the top and I come over to it (within 5 seconds) it goes back down and tries to find another wall. The instructions say that it’s supposed to stop for three minutes, but when my Active 60 gets to the top of the wall just climbs back down without stopping. I don’t even have enough time to bend down to reach for the robot when it goes back down and wanders aimlessly all around the pool again until it finds another wall and the same thing happens all over. Extremely frustrating. When I choose certain cycles such as “floor only” my robot still cleans the walls and waterline. If I choose “walls and waterline” it cleans the floor too. If I choose “waterline” it still cleans the walls and floor. No difference whatsoever between cleaning cycles and options. These features are a joke. Only the “times” feature works occasionally. For a $2000 robot I’d like to be able to have more control over my “controls”. This is a joke of an app and I actually am extremely limited in controlling my unit and what it actually does. The active 60 does an incredible job of cleaning and it works fine. But there is no difference whatsoever between all the cycle choices and options. It cleans for about two hours. It always does the walls waterline and floor, and I can’t control it manually and the pick me up feature is a joke .I’ve had it for about two weeks but none of the features do what they’re supposed to do. Get your game on, maytronics. I’m very disappointed.

Log in every time
The app is a great idea but I have to login every time I open the app. Need to get a new code from my email. I can walk out to the robot faster than that. Wouldn’t register my warranty either.

The vacuum works great, but the app is horrible. Continues to make you login like it’s the first time you’ve ever used it in the past. Takes forever. No other app is this bad.

Inconsistent execution of a great idea
We’ve had a Dolphin and a version of this app since putting in our pool 7 years ago. It will work great for months, then suddenly stop recognizing the robot. Then after 10 rounds of unplugging everything, it’ll work again. Then it will log me out every few seconds. This app finds a new way to break so often!
Meanwhile the robots themselves keep on trucking. More often than not the scheduled routines from the app work, so I leave the robot in the shallow part of the pool and hope for the best.

Could be better
I have to verify my account through am email code every time i login. No way to turn that off that i can find. I often have to reset at the plug so the app can find it. The feature to have jt climb to the service is nowhere to be found

This app needs work
This app works intermittently. Had to delete and re-add so many times when it freezes.
Very annoying
I have to log into the app every time I open it. Super annoying since I have to retrieve a code from my email every time. Do better guys. How about a Face ID log in

Update: opened the app today and it’s all in German. These developers really are the worst.
Apple needs to get their act together with these fake ratings. If you sort this app by the most recent ratings, it’s dozens and dozens of one and two star ratings. There is no way that this app has a four point something rating. Absolute fallacy.
I think worse than the money that I wasted on this thing is the dozens of hours that I spend trying to troubleshoot the software, close the app, reconnect the Bluetooth, unplug and plug the machine back in, figure out why there’s a red light, versus an alternating green and blue light. Ridiculous.
Update: now the app does not work at all. Sort the ratings by the most recent and 99% say the same thing. Awful company.
How does an app have 4.8 star average when almost every rating in the last year is one star? This company does a great job of propaganda and fake “organic” youtube reviews to promote their product. They know their app does not work well and they refuse to put the investment into it to correct the problems.
The device itself works decent, but it is NOT worth the premium price. It DOES NOT have any intelligence or pool mapping abilities like it claims. The device wanders aimlessly even after months of daily use. Instead of doing efficient patterns, it will clean one small area of the pool and then take off to the other side. If you resign yourself to running the device tor three hours everyday, it will get the pool clean through statistical luck.

Waste of money on the cordless vacuum
Absolutely horrible, app never works, never tells me when the vacuum is done, cant use the app when the vacuum is in the pool and can’t use it to get the vacuum out. Basically everything they say it does won’t work..
My second dolphin
I know I have a second dolphin robot because apparently when the three-year warranty wears out the machine stops working. I now have a new robot, but the app won’t let me delete anything. So it just tries to connect and says it won’t connect and then you’re stuck, I had make a new account with a different email to get it to work. All I hear is these are the best robots but I’m having second thoughts and I certainly don’t think this app is something consistent with the best robotic pool cleaner. If this sounds that I’m a little cynical about this robot then you’re right.

Cleaner okay. App terrible
The cleaner works well in our midsize pool. Going on about 2 years with it. It was a struggle to get it connected to Wi-Fi. And then a struggle to get the app to work. Got it to work long enough to set up a daily schedule. But now anytime I try to open the app. It’s just a blank screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled more times than I can count and the app still won’t load.

Ap use to be good
It’s absolutely ridiculous that I have to login and retrieve a one time pass code any time I open this ap. I shouldn’t have to continuously log in. The update made this app worthless. It’s easier to go out and manually turn the cleaner on.
Notifications don’t work
App is decent it has basic functionality but no notifications to say when it starts, finishes, or other things.
