Frustrating
I have an Active 60 pool robot. The app is very unreliable. More incorrect with time to finish than correct. Sometimes cannot connect to robot via wifi at all. Have done all the usual attempts to fix when its incorrect (unplugging the robot, reinstalling the app, etc), but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Very frustrating. I had the same issue with my previous dolphin robot as well, so its the app, not the robot.

Anxiety-inducing
Good to use if you like the idea of:
- Re-setting up a new account every time you open the app
- Spending 20 minutes reconnecting to your robot before you can clean the pool
- Random app restarts
- No wi-fi connectivity
- Unplugging your robot and replugging it in roughly 20% of the time
- No customer support
They clearly built this years ago and haven’t spent any time or money on app upkeep as they moved on to newer apps for newer products.
The robot itself is sturdy and long lasting but it’s only usable if the app works, so I hope you’re reading this in your research before actually buying. Good luck!

App is horrible
Having to log in every time is ridiculous. Fix the app ASAP.
App update
This update is very unstable. Have to keep logging in and crashes constantly.

This app is garbage. I’ve used it for 4 years and it continues to not properly control my unit. It used to tell me when it was cleaning and how much time was left but now nothing. I tried reloading the app several times but nothing helps. The robot basically has a mind of its own and clean wherever it wants to and is very hit and miss.

Limited usefulness
The Dolphin power supply only connects over 2.4ghz wi-fi. The app is useless if for any reason the power supply cannot connect, which means you cannot order parts or get support with the app.
Issues with App
App goes into “Robot is not responding” as soon as it starts cleaning.
Login every time
Need to log in every sig ke time and wait for a passcode . It’s driving me crazy
Completely useless
This app is entirely unusable. I have to sign in 5 different times to be able to change the cleaning mode and set up my robot EVERY single time.
App stopped working
App stopped working after a month. Wifi will not connect so i switched to bluetooth. Now bluetooth doesnt work either. Should have gotten the basic version without wifi.
So tired of having to log in every single time we open the app
This is so extremely frustrating. We are logged out of the app every single time we close out. It’s frankly easier to just walk over to the main control and press a button.
recent update bug
I wish I didn’t have to report this issue via review but the support link and Apples report a problem link are also broken :/ The most recent update 3.20 has annoying bug, it never remembers your log in credentials and demands to send you a security code every time you open the app. This alone is not unworkable but the bigger issue is if your robot happens to be in a cleaning cycle when you log into app you will get a communication error telling you that you need to check the robots control cable. Waiting to log in until all cycles are complete is the only way to work with the app.

Can’t connect to wifi
Glad this app works for some people. Wish it did for me. Connecting to wifi is a nightmare. You have to step through the whole setup process, just to change networks. And for me at least, it just will not connect anymore.
Was great, now worthless.
It was great for several years, but since the last update the app doesn’t work. It suddenly can’t find our WiFi, even when I have the power unit 10 feet away from our router. The only way to turn it on is manually hitting the button. I purchased this so I could run it remotely.
Setup fails, and the app gives you nothing to work with
I have not been able to complete setup on a Dolphin Premium 60.
The “Looking for your robot” screen almost always finds nothing, no matter how long it runs or how close I stand to the power supply. Once, after many attempts and without doing anything differently, it suddenly found the robot and displayed the correct model and serial number. Tapping “Ok, Next” then failed and returned me to the searching screen. I have not been able to reproduce even that much since.
The only alternative the app offers is scanning the QR code on the power supply, which returns “Code is not supported” with no indication of what that means or which code it expects.
So the two available paths are a scan that finds the robot roughly one time in twenty, and a QR code the app itself rejects. At no point does it explain what failed. Hours gone with nothing to show, and no way to tell whether the problem is the app, the robot, or my phone.

DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT!
After using the app and the cleaner for over a year, the app suddenly asked me to log in. I entered my email address, then it said it would send a code I had to use within 5 minutes. It took over 10. I tried this a dozen times.
Next I followed the links to customer service. Went through the trouble to fill everything out and it responded saying they would contact me within(I think it was) 72 hours. It’s been two weeks.
I’ve tried the app several times since with the same result. So it’s a useless app on my phone right now.
I’m shopping around for a new unit since I don’t want to deal with any company that has this level of user service.

Horrible App
The cleaner is great but the app is horrible. Requires a code every single time you launch it. Their system delays sending the code if it sends it at all and by the time you get the code it has timed out. The ability to stay logged in between apps is not there (anymore).
Used to be good
Used to be a great app, but since they did an update it’s horrible. You have to log back in everytime you close the app and wait for a verification email. The app doesn’t load right more than half the time so it makes it useless. Customer support has gone downhill drastically, the dolphin itself is a lemon.

Astonishingly bad
Lags. Delays. False starts. Clearly designed by engineers who once interacted with humans. Once.

What an irresponsible company!!
The app is full of flaws , as a soft engineer it’s not the complexity, I can see it’s just not having the willingness or not being respectful towards paying customer. It’s says Tap image to connect , the image wouldn’t load. It’s a static image you are showing and how hard it could be test before release. And if image is not displayed no fall back solutions such as tapping on name of device to continue . Just an irresponsible company !!
