What's New in MyFamilyCentre

1.2.4

May 10, 2026

What’s new in 1.2.4 * Family Radar widget for the home screen and lock screen - a glanceable summary of who’s where, the next meeting, and the family’s day at a glance. * Live Activities for journeys - when a family member is travelling home from school, their progress and ETA appear on the lock screen and Dynamic Island. * Real-time location updates - family members on the home screen and the map move live as their device shares its location. * Custody countdown - parents see a live countdown to the next custody changeover at the top of the home page. * Journey planner defaults to your current location - open the planner and the From field is pre-filled, so you can plan a route in a single tap. * Children’s access controls - child accounts now see only the surfaces they need: home, calendar (their own events), chat, homework, and Pinterest. Parent-only sections are hidden. * Cleaner home page - events that have already finished are trimmed from today’s list so the page reflects what’s actually ahead. * Map screen polish - tracking and route controls now sit above the map instead of overlaying it. * Performance - weather caching extended to two hours, family-data refresh cadence relaxed, and various background polling consolidated into real-time channels. * Reliability fixes - corrected an issue that prevented some chat-tool actions from saving custody updates, restored the email-sync cron after a configuration regression, and tightened audit-trail self-cleaning. * Various small UI improvements and bug fixes.
