Grass and weeds

I have been calling on them about the grass and weeds all summer. When the city gives them a notice they are never held to the city’s ordinance on how much time they have to cut. They should have at the very least been fined this year and they weren’t. I keep sending pictures in for weeds and grass way to tall they get to the grass when feel like it and they still haven’t cut the 6 foot plus high weeds on the side of house. It’s August and the grass is real close to 12” tall again. If it wasn’t for me calling on them they are that type of people who wouldn’t cut grass or take care of weeds all season. I’m glad I’m not selling my house this summer because I would positively lose money. That house has been an eyesore since they bought it 8 or 9 years ago. Every house but maybe 3 or 4 takes care of their yards. And hers is just an ugly eyesore. But I guess the city thinks she’s special or something because they never fine her. If the city went by what the ordinances are I probably wouldn’t be looking at that nasty house/yard. She has always said she knows people who work for the city so she gets preferential treatment when she needs it. I’ll never understand why the city ALWAYS takes care of certain homeowners. This is a very inept and incompetent way to take care of this. Mayor needs to shake this part of the city operations and fire a few choice employees.
That would be an excellent start that I think all residents in the city would finally applaud for doing finally. Because this issue has been going on for the 20 years I’ve lived here. And it’s not my job to monitor and report the same peoples nasty yards every summer. I want the city to look nice like most all residents do, but the city is not willing to step in and take care of the problem people’s yards which they’re job not mine. This is my tax dollars not doing what the city says they are going to with them. You always hear the city say let’s keep Hamilton clean and beautiful but that’s all they do is take. They don’t take care of the problem properties like the one I have been contacting the city about for almost nine years. Stop asking residents to help keep the city clean when the city won’t help the residents keep it clean. Residents pay you for this service and are getting ripped off. These issues probably won’t go anywhere anyway because certain city employees who work in this department don’t have to live next to the nasty living people that a lot of residents do. Out of sight out of mind.

No accountability

They will let you file an issue but they either won’t address it or they will give an excuse of poor workmanship. Then they will cancel your issue and you are unable to respond.

Very good
