About

MyLimb is where the limb loss community talks to itself. If you have lost a limb, were born with a limb difference, or love someone who has, you already know how scattered it all is: a group over here, a thread over there, an article somewhere else, and the one person who really gets it three time zones away. MyLimb puts the whole conversation in one place. Ask the question you have been sitting on. Share the small win nobody else would understand. Or just read for a while until you are ready to say something. Everyone here started that way. It is moderated, with guidelines written in plain English, so it stays a place you can be honest in. WHAT YOU'LL FIND Rooms for the conversations that matter Public rooms on prosthetics and socket fit, adaptive sport, travel, work, insurance and benefits, parenting, or simply introducing yourself. Some are private, for members who want a quieter corner. Post photos, ask, answer, react, and follow the people you want to keep hearing from. Articles, with the discussion attached Long-form pieces from members and community writers. Every one opens straight into a thread, so you can respond, disagree, or add the part that was missing. Nothing here is published at you. Community events Meetups, workshops, peer support groups, sport and fitness days, conferences and fundraisers, online and in person, with dates, locations and a spot you can reserve. A profile that is actually yours Photo, bio, links, everything you have posted and replied to, and the events you are going to. Invite people in with your own referral code. Search that speaks the language Search understands what you mean, not just what you typed, so a question about socket fit also finds the thread about a liner that would not stay put. Notifications you control Replies, mentions, reactions, new rooms, event updates — in the app, by email or as a push, and every kind can be switched off. WHO IT IS FOR People living with limb loss, at any stage People born with a limb difference Prosthesis users, and people deciding about one Partners, parents, children, friends and caregivers Prosthetists, clinicians and researchers who want to listen as much as talk WHAT MYLIMB IS NOT MyLimb is a peer community, not a medical service. Members share their own experience. Nothing on MyLimb is medical advice, and nobody here replaces your own clinicians. MyLimb is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
