The MyPetzl Light app allows you to customize and control compatible Petzl headlamps (REACTIK+ and NAO+) via Bluetooth. You can monitor battery charge, remaining burn time, and select or create custom lighting profiles tailored to your activity.
Key features include real-time battery and burn time information, five predefined activity profiles (multi-activity, trail running, trekking, mountaineering, bivouac), the ability to create custom profiles, live adjustment of brightness and burn time, and an emergency Morse code light signal.
Yes, the MyPetzl Light app is free to download and use. The application itself does not have any associated costs, and there are no in-app purchases or advertisements.
The app is designed to work with compatible Petzl headlamps, specifically the REACTIK+ and NAO+ models, which were available from July 2016. You will need a smartphone or tablet with Bluetooth connectivity to use the app's features.
The emergency light signal feature allows you to program a brief message on your smartphone, which the headlamp can then transmit as a Morse code light signal. This is particularly useful in situations where cell reception is unavailable or other communication methods are not possible.
