Comprehensive
I'm a full time domestic violence advocate and I endorse this tool for clients/survivors. I tried it both as if I was the victim and as if I was looking for help for a friend and I felt both assessments were comprehensive and thought provoking. My only critique is that during the risk assessment ("is my relationship dangerous") I feel there should be explicit questioning about hx of DV injuries and hospitalizations. But overall I think it's an excellent resource.

Bug needs fixing
I am trying to take the personality quiz and it won’t let me past the demographic question I think 15 or hit next and I completely can’t use the app any further because it won’t let me past that question
Great help
I downloaded this app to see if it was what I needed to help a friend. It has the choice to evaluate the situation and safety plan for a friend or family members, as well as yourself. I am very impressed with the tools it has to help you evaluate your situation and begin safety planning. It is not a replacement for a domestic violence counselor but it's very helpful.

This is game changing
I’ve never seen such a well made app like this. As a professional in the field I’ll be promoting it for sure. Thank you so much for this resource 🙏
Not what I expected
I downloaded the app because I’m the one be domestically abused. I was hoping the app would show me that it’s real but when I got on and did the basics survey it’s asking questions about the abuser in the sense that their the one that show be on the app. It’s like it’s trying to get me to fill out everything for them and help them but that’s not what the app showed to do on the app store. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that the app does that, it’s good to help other with that situation it’s just it keeps like there’s some missing information on the app store page, either that or the app needs clearer instructions. I could use it into a 3rd person way but honestly i would rather not and just find another app. I could’ve just messed up the whole basics thing but I didn’t really see anything about get my own help

Response from developer
We are so sorry to hear you have had to deal with an abuser, it's not right and you deserve to be safe. We are also very sorry the app was not helpful for you. It should have been validating and we apologize that wasn't your experience. One of the first questions in the app is if you are concerned about your own relationship or if you are looking to support a friend/family member experiencing abuse. It's sounding like you may have accidentally selected the friend/family option and then weren't getting the questions about you. Please email us at info@myPlanApp.org with any feedback about how we could make the questions more clear or useful or if you want to participate in future testing as one of our survivor advisors.
