Nothing works

This app does not work… like ever. From a parent and leader perspective- it’s totally useless. Training does not load. Information glitches. It’s just terrible.

Poor unit management

As a key 3 leader, it is frustrating the lack of ability to lookup usable roster info such as parent contact information and rank. It is basically only useful for confirming a name and getting a phone number. Basic info - parent name(s), email and phone should be shown. The web browser on the other hand is beyond overly complex and detailed, with a multitude of confusing, duplicative fields to toggle in or out of a roster report. With the importance of youth protection, relevant parent contact info is paramount. And should be easy to gather. This seems like an obvious function and a frustrating omission.

Please fix

iPhone 16 Pro on Verizon , iOS 26.3, sending ID card to Apple wallet, opened a Safari, and says it completed, but the ID never shows up in the wallet. Tried rebooting the phone several times, still not working.

Pointless App If…

If you can log into your My.Scouting account via a web browser then the app is available 100% pointless and just takes up space. If you cannot log into your account via web browser then the app provides very limited functionality. It’s frustrating to work with parents who refuse to access the official website and keep saying, “but I’m in the app. Where do I go?” Well, you can’t because the app does not support xyz function. I’d love to list everything the app CANNOT do but SHOULD.

See expiration dates for members in your unit as a key 3? NO

See all of the youth in your family linked to your membership? NO

Manage your membership renewal? NO

Commissioner tools the same as on the web? NO

Thanks for nothing

Your app. is trash! I had to log into scouts plus and complete safeguarding training on a computer. I am not the only one who is having trouble with this!

Just OK

We need the ability to update a connection with a unit. Cannot do this from the add.

Bugs

This is a useful tool when it works. I can sign in and use the online version, but the app refuses to accept my password.

App Fails to sign-in when using Gmail.

The web app works just fine with signing in with my Gmail, but this app fails every time. I have deleted the app and install it again, but same result.

Basically useless

The app, as well as the website, are basically useless. Nothing loads, and the help bot won’t even link you to a human. Very frustrating.

Meh

I tried to use this for doing new position training, but launching a new web browser for a site that is not mobile friendly does not work well on a *mobile app.* Please consider rendering the training videos in a mobile friendly way on the app instead.

App is out of the loop

This app doesn’t have the same features that the web application does, nor does it connect correctly with the database. Latest example: I just updated the app. I got an email notification that there was an application that needed attention. I go to the app only to discover a BLANK PAGE in the application manager. This is just the latest example of BSA’s continuing failure in regard to software.

Just awful

I hate when you’re forced to use an app to run your org and then that app is mostly non-functional. The digital “tools” are almost frustrating enough to not do scouting. Please make these tools work or stop running your org through them

Trash

Garbage application. Difficult to use, glitches. I have never had more difficulty trying to register my son or even myself for anything in 2024. Not intuitive at all.

Much improved since it first launched

With feedback and patience, things have improved since this app first launched.

As a millennial Scouter, this app works just fine and as intended. Having assisted my… more seasoned fellow Scouters in how to use their phones, once they get the hang of things, they too find the app just fine.

Add Wallet function not working anymore please fix the bug

The add Wallet function when I try to add the 2024 member card!

What a terribly unhelpful app

I understand that much of this app was created by/run by volunteers. I strongly encourage BSA to shell out the money to improve things. This app is abysmal.

Overall, not impressed

This app is not really a solution for anything. BSA has too many apps, non of which seem to communicate well with each other.

A one-stop-shop application is what BSA needs. Neither one of the apps I have downloaded offer enough to not need the browser web address.

Worse than Charmin

How anybody ever imagined that computerized forms were better than paper I have no idea. This application certainly does not help prove that computers are worth more than toilet paper.

Current version is broken for Commissioner Tools

It is not possible to enter a contact using the precanned meeting types. The backend is returning a null constraint on the Other title which wasn't even selected at the time. This app is utter garbage and is making me reconsider continued service as a commisioner. A workaround is to use the Other title and enter in a value for the meeting type.

Good but needs to be updated

It is good to uses but minor bugs with the app and scaling to different devices. Buttons will work on the iPad version but not in iPhone. Otherwise does everything I need.
