MySubaru App is a paid for app to access remote start and remote unlock. It is supposed to track your maintenance reminders. It does NOT track your maintenance unless you input it yourself. Even if you get service at the Subaru Dealer, they do not enter it for you. This app should automatically sync with the dealership. I want my $500 bucks back. This is a stupid app and should be included in my $37k vehicle purchase. I feel like Subaru could do a much better job and at the very least sync it with my car appropriately. My check engine light is on and MySubaru app says my car is fine. Stupid and dumb.

Convenience at your fingertips
We have had multiple Subaru’s and always sign up with then, Starlink, now My Subaru. I need the remote start feature so the car is ready to go in any weather, hot or cold, it’s perfect when I get in. There are so many other features, it’s too much to list. You’re cheating yourself, if you don’t sign up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Constantly interrupts apps
This app constantly interrupts my car when playing music… listening to music… when on maps, I swear this is going to get me in an accident because I’m constantly having to push play or get back to maps because STARLINK interrupts this. If it wasn’t for my Subaru subscription to start my car in the winter, I wouldn’t have this (which is also ridiculous that I need to pay a subscription for a terrible app to give me updates on my car that my dash should just tell me).

Great…except…
This works beautifully however finding phone in my purse is another story. I prefer a remote starter that I can attach to my key fob or be part of my key fob. This delays starting my car at least for 15 to 20 seconds…
Subaru app
Didn’t think I would use it didn’t think I needed it but now that I have it I use it to cool off my car before I get to it or warm it up in the winter before I get to it. Very helpful.
Could be better
Nice app but as an iPhone app it should definitely support Widgets, Shortcuts, and Siri commands. It is seriously fruiting to have to open the app to do even basic functions like locking and unlocking the vehicle. Even Widget functions would help and are simple to add.

How is this app 5 stars? I signed up for my 2026 ascent. I set a password and Subaru made me change it immediately. It’s randomly generated, now I can’t login when I needed to use it. I was in the middle of nowhere trying to reset the password in 95 degree heat as the app saved the first password I set. I’m just going to drop an AirTag in my car and delete the app until they figure out an actual login system that matches modern requirements.
The good news is I save $70 a year, no way I sub now.

Doesn’t work
Made my account yesterday. Tried to sign in today with Face ID and it made every face scan a failed attempt. Typed in my password that I just made yesterday and it’s another failed attempt. Fine, I reset my password and then sign in again with the brand new one. Another failed attempt and now I have to call customer service to access my account since apparently my face is not my face and my password is not my password. So glad I paid to use this…

I was on my way to purchase a Toyota I had driven earlier… saw the Subaru sign and decided to take a look. I immediately saw the Forester Sport and knew INSTANTLY it was MY CAR‼️‼️Bought it that day 12/23/24…. Have not regretted my hasty choice a single minute.

Bought my car new from a Subaru dealership two weeks ago, paid for this dumb app, won’t validate. I go to the website as instructed, car not there. I check on the app with the VIN—no account. Unless you absolutely need remote start it’s hard to imagine 70$/yr being worth it
Great app, but desperately needs "left unlocked" notifications
I recently switched to Subaru from a Hyundai and generally like the MySubaru app, but I am really missing a key safety feature. On my Hyundai, the app automatically sent me a push notification if I accidentally left my car doors unlocked. Currently, MySubaru makes me open the app and manually check the status. It would be a massive upgrade if Subaru could add active push notifications for unlocked doors and open windows. Please consider adding this in the next update!

Convenient
As an Instacart employee, having the ability to use the remote start on my car to get it cooled off during the hot summer days has been amazing! Cooling the car down prior to loading my customers groceries is extremely important. Not to mention, if I forget where I parked I have the ability to locate my car. I hate to admit it but I’ve had to use it at least half a dozen times this summer.
