Useless app

Unable to actually order supplies, totally useless. App insists that you have already reached the maximum allowable orders and to call the 800 number anyway. Waste of time.

App not working

They want you to use the app yet when I called because I still hadn’t gotten my supplies they said oh we’re having issues with anything being ordered on the app. It’s not shipping so what’s the purpose when you’re on hold that they want you to use the app, the app doesn’t work.

App Does Not Work

The app is supposed to allow you order supplies easily. That functionality simply does not work. When you try place an order, the app will either freeze or tell you to check back to see about your order in 5 minutes. I called the company and they showed that two orders were placed so no orders were sent. If I hadn’t have called, I would not have known. (As it stands, my 80 year old aunt still doesn’t have the supplies she needs.) When I explained that there was an issue with the app, the representative on the phone told me she couldn’t do anything. I mean if you have an app that allows people to get medical products, don’t you want it to work?! Wouldn’t you do something to make sure things are ok! The troubleshooting options in the app also don’t address a common situation you might have. Another poster mentioned their aggressive billing practices. While that’s a bit off topic for an app review, I will state that I received multiple calls re insurance when a licensed nursing agency obtained the vac and had all of the insurance info. Instead of reaching out to them, they blew up my phone.

Useless for ordering supplies

It’s been a year I’ve had this app and have never once been able to order supplies without “The operation couldn’t be completed. (Server error error 500).” being displayed.

Update: 1/17/2025 was the first time I’ve ever been able to successfully order supplies through the app. Hopefully it’s fixed for good.

Really dumb app

Keeps asking for info it already has, and sends a useless “oops, something went wrong” error msg. Not a great way to boost confidence in system’s technology.

App is virtually useless

My provider mentioned that I would be able to replenish supplies via the app versus calling. We have yet to be able to get the app to work. Each time we click order supplies it gives an error message. I am unsure as
to what purpose this app is meant to serve.

Useless!

This app provides zero functionality for ordering. A waste of bits and bytes.

NEED's remote control

I was expecting this app to be a direct mirroring of the touchscreen on the device. Where are my wound is I am able to take a photo of it Edward have to rely on the nurse to do it for me. They are already taking photos of my wounds and keeping record of it. No need for me do use this app whatsoever.

However it would be awesome if the app would actually control the device. In my situation the device is mounted to the back of the wheelchair the only place where it won't get knocked around. Very difficult to control as I would have to reach back there find out what it wants press a couple of buttons do whatever and then put it back.

It would be nice to just open the app, select device, and have full control from the app at least to be able to monitor the amount of vacuum, battery, add emergency signal status

Not very useful

KCI’s 1-800 phone number tells us how easy reordering supplies is through their app. Too bad the app only displays error messages when I try to place an order.

App needs improvements for user setup

For the product management team: 1) I never received my registration code via email, had to switch to SMS. 2) The serial number registration wouldn’t work with the camera because it would not focus. Switched to manually entering the serial number. The help tips were actually helpful, but until the focus issue can be resolved I’d recommend putting the tips directly on the screen rather than in a pop-up link since people really need them.

Wound Vac Healing unit

I’m so glad that my doctor prescribed this device for me. It is a bit of a pain to have on 24 hours a day but it works wonders . After 6 weeks I was really happy to be able to stop using it only because you have 5 feet of tubing to keep safe from tripping, and it does make noise when it’s on
so you don’t get out dining. The vacuum really helps with the healing process.

Doesn’t work

Get error messages trying to order supplies. I’m not impressed with your app.

Totally unusable

Downloaded today and can’t register for an account. I put in all my information and it just says “unknown error” over and over again.

CRASH CITY

This app does nothing but crash every time I try to sign in to order supplies. What a waste of time. I’ve given up trying to use it, so good riddance. One less headache in my life.

Poor Service

I broke my back in May and my incisions opened up so I was prescribed a wound vac. For the first two weeks it was fine. Then KCI started calling about collecting my vac even though it was still attached to my back. They also stopped sending supplies so I currently can’t change my dressing which is supposed to be done about 2-3 times a week. KCI has also been very unhelpful in trying to fix these problems. On the app my device is no longer registered so I can’t use any of the tabs like order supplies. I was told in the beginning that they would monitor my device through the app so that if I had any alarms they would reach out and help me troubleshoot the problems. That hasn’t happened once even though I’ve had multiple alarms usually due to faulty canisters or bad sensors. Don’t put your trust in KCI they will let you down
