No brainer

The best, no headache and no problems!

Excessive Monetization

Classic over monetization and excessive claims. Company is ran to max profits and not balanced to benefit families.

Glitchy and Expensive

Has cool features but never seems to work. I’m always sending in error reports. The app is really annoying and expensive. Try harder!

A must have

Everything about this system is right! It has really helped our baby be a better sleeper. We could not imagine being without it.

Billing

Annual billing only is clearly just a pricing trick to lock you into a plan. They should offer a monthly version like every other B2C service in the world.

most used app

can’t live without it

Nanit is great- worth the$$$

Totally worth the $. Also worth it to subscribe to the video long term history.

Mom

We love it!

Pretty good overall

The app is easy to use and works well. The only problem is ver occasionally the app struggles to show the video feed with the camera. It fixes itself usually in a few minutes.

Love it

Really helps with piece of mind. I like the notes of baby crying , in bed, helped and when he sleeps. The only downside is that I’d like to air play him on the tv without screen sharing

Review of Nanit

I am a grandmother who has absolutely loved having access to my grandson’s Nanit. It allows me to stay close to him even though we are 3000 miles apart. Thank you!

Terrible App

For such an expensive product the UI is terrible. You’re honestly better off getting a Ring camera unless you specifically want the features that are all conveniently paywalled to drain more money from you. The UI for the iPad is trash. Not optimized for it at all. On an iPhone you have to expand the view to access options like sounds/music. It’s not readily available from the initial view. Save your money.

Nanit is honestly incredible

Nanit has given me more than I ever expected in a baby monitor/camera. We use the basic membership with no extra payment plans for the bonus features, and it still offers amazing extra features we never thought would be so helpful. We didn’t utilize Nanit until our baby was 6 months old, because our baby slept in our room in a bassinet until then, so we didn’t end up using the band that can go around your baby to track its breathing. We did however greatly enjoy the fact that it doesn’t just say “there’s noise” but it says “crying” “coughing” and even “standing” as a banner notification when I’m in another room and my phone screen is locked. We simply used the app as the camera for the longest time, and would just leave the app/camera open through the night or during a nap as a monitor. The one flaw was that when a babysitter comes over they didn’t have a separate monitor; we would have to watch the camera while we were away to let them know if our child woke up or the room was too warm - until Nanit came out with an incredible monitor! Not only is the monitor just like the app, but it feels like an iPad! The screen is this perfect, large size and extremely user friendly for how simple it is - again, no crazy bells and whistles.
I didn’t know how helpful my baby having a sleep score would be, or all of the very timely, age specific tips! They pop right up in your notifications at the age you need them, and as a first time mom, I have genuinely gained wisdom and comfort from them. I recommend Nanit to all my first time parent friends and couldn’t imagine being a parent without it.

Issues

Used to work well but now I have to open and close the app multiple times before it lets me turn the camera on. Very annoying. Also I hate that the sound machine requires a different app, why isn’t it all in the same place?

at my wit’s end with this garbage

I honestly have no idea how this app/monitor has such raving reviews. I have had my final straw with this monitor/app. We know companies promise security, but it’s often something that’s not delivered well. So here I am, risking my privacy in the hopes of capturing sweet moments of my little one. We basically bought the entire nanit lineup: the monitor, the stand, the travel kit, the sheets to track growth, the sleep sacks to track breathing, and we pay for the subscription on top of it all.

After almost 2 years of use, it has let me down more times than I can count. Countless adorable memories were streamed on the app, but the app shows “video from this time not available.” Here I am, forking over top dollar for this brand (well over $1000 for everything), and they can’t even deliver the simplest of services they claim to provide.

There was a 2-day period where absolutely nothing could be saved. We didn’t know until it was too late. We had been using the monitor and streaming, but when we looked back, everything was gone. No sweet memories could be saved.

To top it off, the app frequently makes claims like, the baby was tended to 23 hours ago, and often does not show the accurate activity, like when the baby fell asleep, woke up, etc. Lots of missing data points for such an expensive product and service.

I have 0 confidence in this brand—huge waste of money. After reading online forums of other people’s experiences with nanit being unreliable and/or hacked, it makes me question the validity of the reviews of the product and the App Store reviews. Switching to another camera promptly.

Great product

We are delighted with the purchase

Has its faults, but great overall

Does not send off the alarm you think it does when it does not detect breathing patterns. Honestly, I wake up to it telling me it ended the session because it could not detect movement or breaths. But who knows for how long? The baby usually wakes me up first. Otherwise, it does what we need it to do
