BEWARE- NO REFUNDS
They claimed they sent an email regarding auto renewal, but it was never received. The day it renewed I reached out to them in the AM and they said their policy is to not do refunds. I clearly have not used the year of the product. Seems very suspect that they would not refund and seems to speak to their product.

Cannot use with other birth controls
When signing up for a membership, NOWHERE does it say you cannot use cycle tracking if using another form of hormonal birth control. Its also ridiculously expensive. $21 a month to track data you’re already getting from a $500 oura ring? No.
Can’t disable AI
I love natural cycles but they recently started using AI and there is no way to disable it. I will have to stop using it if they do not add a feature to disable it soon. I do not support the use of AI due to its environmental impact. I also think it is keeping everyone stupid just like the government wants us. That’s a big enough deal for me to stop using a company that I love.

Hard for shift workers
As a shift worker I work nights. The wrist band doesn’t work as I don’t sleep for four hours in the time slot needed for a reading. The thermometer only works on the 14 days I’m not on nights in a four week period, otherwise the temperature doesn’t count as it’s “different sleep”. And I can’t afford an Oura ring at the moment. The one month I had holiday I will say it worked wonderfully, and I’m going to save for a ring, but it should be much clearer from the outset that shift workers may need the more expensive measuring tool for it to be of any use collecting temp data etc. Currently feels like a waste of money and isn’t really getting used as there is no pattern able to be detected at the moment

Shady and predatory subscription policies.
Tried this app for a month and didn’t love it and switched to a different one. Didn’t realize the subscription was still auto-renewing and it renewed for a full year with no way to get a refund. Most apps nowadays offer a grace period to refund when you didn’t actually mean to renew. Not offering this is shady, surely everyone that works at this company understands that they are stealing money from unsuspecting women while not offering them any value in return. I’m not suddenly going to start using this app just because I’m unable to get a refund. You can do much better than this.

App does not update
App doesn’t update when you switch modes. For example- I wanted to switch from birth control to follow pregnancy in the settings. I have tried multiple times, made sure the app was updated, and attempted trouble shooting. Great app otherwise but, frustrating when it is such an expensive app and then I can’t use it in the setting that I need.

Not once has it predicted my cycle correctly
I’ve been using this app for over a year and I don’t think one time has it predicted my cycle correctly. Unless your cycle is already 100% predictable, it’s garbage. If you have any kind of fertility challenges, don’t even try with this app. I don’t know what they claim as an “algorithm” but all it seems to do for me is “predict” the furthest out ovulation date I’ve had every month. It doesn’t even seem to use my temperatures as an indicator. I get the same information from the typical Oura Ring app so this app is not worth the money.

Great hormonal BC alternative!
I got off hormonal BC after a bad experience and have been refreshed by natural cycles! It’s worked great for BC and has helped understand my body better and feel healthier/happier. It’s also a great way for my husband to get involved and learn more about my cycle and trends. I know it might not work for everyone but I’ve loved it and recommend it.

Deceptive Renewal Practices
They send out an email but it’s a very generic subject line (Your NC Journey) and easily missed. Any subscription renewal reminder should be obvious. No refunds. I’ve had better data with the Oura so this is getting canceled now.
Insincere customer service
Decent insights, but their auto-renew policy is ridiculous. They sent a “reminder” email 30 days prior titled “Your NC Journey”… with no reference to any account alert. Pretty ridiculous. Trying to secure a refund as I no longer need the product.
Red days all month except
I like not having to be on BC, and I love all of the education in the app, but I’ve been using NC now for going on 6 months and I’m annoyed that this has basically become “no sex all month except for a day or two before your period and a day or two after your period.” Quite literally. I’m tracking every day, and even taking ovulation tests and putting the ovulation test into the app. The app will say I have green days (for example) two days from now but then will push them back over and over again. This has been a fine BC method for now but we are looking into a vasectomy because this really isn’t sustainable to have sex once or at most twice a month.

Misleading subscription cancellation
I tried canceling my subscription several months ago through apple subscriptions, but was just charged an annual fee anyway. So after digging some more, I found out you have to cancel through their app. Getting a hold of anyone in customer service is impossible. They just scammed me out of $159.99. So on top of being perimenopausal and my chances of conceiving are pretty slim at this point, I still have to pay for a fertility app that I can’t use and haven’t used in months since I rarely get a period anymore. Very frustrating.

Love it
I’ve been using Natural Cycles for two months now, and I absolutely love it! Before using it, I didn’t really understand my cycle or know how to recognize what my body was telling me. Now I feel like I’m finally getting to know my body.
So far, I haven’t gotten pregnant 🤣, and the app has helped me better understand my fertile days, my temperature patterns, and my cycle overall. It’s made me much more aware of changes in my body and has given me more confidence.
Of course, it only works if you’re consistent and use it correctly, but my experience has been great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about their cycle and take a more informed approach to fertility awareness.

Was great before the sleep tracking update
The recent update with sleep tracking seems to have broken the temperature tracking algorithm. I’ve had a few years of stable cycles, and the last two have had wildly different temperature processing, resulting in ovulation not being correctly tracked. The rest of my cycle is regular, the only difference has been the updates.

Lies
I just wrote an entire review about how garbage this company is and how misleading everything is but Apple decided to delete the whole thing so I’ll try to make it shorter this time. They suck. At first their wearable band was free with the subscription then now that I’ve already paid for the subscription it’s $100and apparently the Garmin that I purchased for this purpose is not compatible with their app, which is ridiculous because all they said was it needed to be a Garmin device only to find out that there is a fairly small list of Garmin devices that are actually compatible, which would’ve been very helpful to have on the front page after you click that you would like to go with Garmin as opposed to being on a small find print after you have already purchased your subscription and are trying to sync your watch and it’s not working for some reason. I’m so done.

Glitchy app
I have been using Natural Cycles as birth control for almost 2 years and while I have had a positive experience, my only complaint is how glitchy the app is sometimes. I have to open my Oura ring app to load my data for the day over and over and for some reason the Natural Cycles app struggles to communicate with my oura app. It’s very frustrating. Today I have tried to get the Oura app to load the data into Natural Cycles 5 times and it still has not worked.

Gone downhill
I used to use this app religiously. But now, it barely syncs with my oura ring. I have tried for the past 30 minutes and nothing is working. I also hate that it excludes some temperatures from the algorithm when it wants to….makes it really tough for me to discuss these temps with doctors. (Mine happen the same time every month yet still will be excluded). Please just fix your app because right now it sucks

This app has been so helpful!! :)
I have loved using this app for over a year now! It is so great for natural family planning!☺️ It has truly helped me get to learn more about my cycle and how my body works!
Bring back cycle day on calendar
Please update to be able to clearly see cycle day when clicking on future dates on the calendar like we used to see.
The 2 stars is because recent updates to the app have made it LESS user friendly. More buttons to do the same thing we used to do with fewer buttons. Also the yearly subscription price is astronomical- I have been using this app for almost 5 years and it’s just getting out of control with the pricing. I’ve not seen added value.
Being able to tap to focus during the ovulation test reader would be a long awaited and much needed improvement.
