I use to love this app
I used this app for years. However it only loads vertically now instead of horizontally. And it’s not closed captioned friendly. I miss the old version
No landscape IOS
Opened the app yesterday and Boom! Portrait view only. No landscape view. Please fix this.
Incorrect Weather Notification
This is a waste of an App.. most of the time, it predicts incorrect weather, especially, with rain forecast. Keep in mind folks.. these people are NOT God. They just make money predicting what may happen with the weather. Most of us depends on the weather forecast, because we have a business to run!! By predicting incorrect weather - it DOES NOT help. DO BETTER - for God sake !!!!!

Update forces app in portrait view
After the most recent update the iPad OS app maintains a portrait view only. When the iPad rotates to landscape the app stays in portrait.
Horrible operations on app
I’m here again to reiterate how horribly this app functions. It has somehow gotten worse since my last review. If I click on a notification to WATCH LIVE, the app will open and then completely freeze, requiring a complete reset to resolve the freeze.

It glitches constantly, the ads take over the entire screen, and you have to watch a 30-60 second ad to watch ANY video they “alert” you to, even if it’s a live video (now you’ve missed it, thanks ad) or even if it’s a 25 second traffic alert.

Too many commercials
I’ve watched a few good stories but to get there you have to sit through commercial after commercial and then watch all of the stories they pick before finally getting to the story you’re interested in. So no, I’m not recommending this channel for news
The update is horrible
Why does every thing good have to be changed. The new changes are horrible. Nowhere near the user friendly app from before. Please, have the old version available.
Do better - limited hurricane live feeds
In the past I could get live steaming during a hurricane. Tried to get updates on hurricane Milton, when I clicked on “Live”, it was a prerecorded video having nothing to do with hurricane. You had to read thru news feeds and checked on how stale the article was. Terrible approach for hurricane coverage. I subscribe to Peacock, so I switched there… unless it was news hour or you searched through the listing, there was no readily 24/7 Hurricane Milton tab to get easy update. But on YouTube you could catch a live steaming tab for hurricane update. Why keep this APP if it’s not going to be useful during times of need. Shame.

Do you even try out your app
This this is so buggy. If you click a alert you will get another video playing in the background. When you finish watching a video another video continues to play and you have no idea what it’s about. You guys need a app tester like me.
Doesn’t work
I downloaded this to keep up-to-date. I do get notifications, and when there’s something I want to read more about I tap on the notification to open the app. However, clicking on that notification, NEVER brings me to the actual video. It’s always brings me somewhere else to a video. I’m not interested in and has nothing to do with the notification I received. This is just taking up space on my phone.

Half the time this app won’t load fully. Sometimes, when it does load, it’s showing hours in the past, not current weather.

Way too many ads ruin the app.
What happened to real time Doppler?
No wonder the only review they show on the app landing is from 4 years ago, all the latest one are horrific. Looks like they have done away with real time Doppler they would highlight so much and used to set themselves apart from the other local stations. This was my go to app when weather approached. Sad to see. NBC has been my news and weather source for more than 40 plus years. I hope they restore this feature, otherwise I’m going elsewhere.

Weather Radar NOT Working
Today is July 3, 2023, and as of a week now the weather radar has not been displaying as it should. No radar returns whatsoever.
App needs reorganization
This app is one I review every morning, among several news apps. However, it is needlessly complicated and repetitious. I prefer to see stories organized with the latest first. The distinction between Latest and Alerts is totally meaningless to me, and I would suggest combining those two threads. Stories are also duplicated between those threads and the column on the left. I would be happy if there was a single timeline, and perhaps the headlines of stories could be color-coded to indicate in which category they belonged.

Their updates are annoying
The narrative that hot weather is dreadful and Floridians are always after “cooler temps” is SO ANNOYING!! I moved here for the hot weather so please stop. “So flo will deal with another day of warmer temps before cooling off”. K I’m not looking forward to it “cooling off”.
