User reviews

Doesn’t Work

It says start scan & then tells me nothing! I’m literally standing between 2 people with smart glasses on & dis a scan….NOTHING! Back to the drawing board for you.

Good app twisted priorities

Does exactly what it says on the tin, and honestly it’s useful for my own reasons too, I use it at work to spot people wearing smart glasses who might be breaking contract policies. One thing that would make it even better, it should be able to scan in the background and just send me a notification when it spots something, instead of me having to keep the app open and actively watching for it. But let’s talk about the actual premise here. This app exists because folks are nervous about a stranger’s glasses maybe snapping a candid photo. Meanwhile we’re all walking around with a camera in our pocket every single day, and nobody blinks. Add to that the street corner cameras, the doorbell cams, the license plate readers, the satellites overhead, and whatever else is quietly logging our comings and goings, and the smart glasses start to look like the least of anyone’s privacy problems. For me and a lot of parents, the appeal isn’t sinister at all, it’s just wanting to catch your kid, or in my case my dogs, doing something real and unposed, without fumbling for your phone and losing the moment because they noticed the camera and started performing for it. Three stars, it’s a solid app for what it does, but the fear driving its existence feels aimed at the wrong target while the real surveillance state hides in plain sight.
