About

Stay connected, even beyond cell coverage. Nelos helps families and small groups stay connected using MeshCore-compatible LoRa mesh radios, even when there is no mobile coverage or internet access. Features: • Live location sharing on offline maps • Downloadable offline maps worldwide • Track family members, pets, and personal belongings • Team messaging and direct messaging • Help requests and responder coordination • Offline team setup using QR codes • Works with compatible MeshCore devices • No account required • No central message server • Privacy-focused design Nelos is designed for families, hiking, outdoor adventures, travel, volunteer teams, and off-grid situations. Tracking, messaging, and location sharing depend on compatible devices, radio conditions, map availability, and user permissions. Nelos should not be your only means of communication or safety in critical situations.

What's New in Nelos

2.3.1

August 21, 2026

Nelos now supports MeshCore only. Meshtastic support has been removed so we can focus development and testing on a single platform. This update also includes: • Improved Bluetooth connectivity when Nelos is running in the background. • Handheld GPS is now enabled by default, helping your radio remain locatable when your phone is unavailable. • Battery details now include voltage and estimated remaining runtime based on recent usage. • Locations can now be opened in other map apps, including OsmAnd, making it easier to use your preferred navigation app. • Improved map navigation for members, trackers, and waypoints. • Safer channel handling that preserves existing channels on your device. • Cleaner maps and various reliability improvements and bug fixes.
