Spelling and Grammar
Beginning to think this is a scam site. The amount of spelling and grammatical errors is astonishing. How do you not proofread and spellcheck the articles before putting to digital print? It’s really bad. PLEASE DO SOMETHING! Your articles are riddled with errors everyday, I’ve never seen anything like it. Would never see that in newspaper print. Once our subscriptions are up we’re not renewing and that’s my entire class of hardworking adults.

I just downloaded this app and opened my very first article ever. Within a second it had a pop up saying that I’ve reached my limit of free articles. (So the limit of free articles is zero?). Find a better way to make money. No one’s signing up for newspapers anymore.

I was able to tap the jumble and Suduco puzzle and it would come up now for the past 6 months it doesn’t. The changes and updates were worse.
Poor App
My biggest gripe with this app is that the daily newspaper is not downloadable. I’ve been reading the Daily News on the subway to and from school/work for many decades. In previous versions I’ve been able to download the paper and read it uninterrupted on the subway no matter where I was underground. I was even able to view a full two page version of the paper so I could really get that “newspaper” experience. That two page view is gone. Also, after “downloading” the newest edition of the day’s newspaper, if a cell connection of some kind is not maintained, the paper will freeze up and not allow you to move around. As is the case on the subway, there are many spots where you lose service for a little bit. I’m constantly being interrupted reading by losing the connection and my paper freezing up.
Inevitably, I will tire of this and just be done with the NY Daily News once and for all. Just another thing that will be of the past.

I had it for free and then I paid for it!

Why
The app was fine allowing me to read the whole paper on my iPad on a stand in landscape mode This view gave me 2 pages at once and I was able to read it with no issues Now I have to turn the iPad to portrait mode and my iPad cover stand does not work that way WHY did you change it??? Now it is hard for me to read

Wish you kept the $13 for every 6 months. The app was broken then it stopped working, forcing me to look at this app. So now I see it’s $199 a year for a local news paper? Guess I’ll just look at other sources.
It’s not news if…
It’s not news unless it pertinent ( maybe/maybe not) AND DELIVERED IN A TIMELY MANNER EVERYDAY, IN TIME AND ON TIME. NYDN seems to think that is optional. Open app, I only see yesterday’s news(paper).

What Happened?
I subscribed to the NY Daily New for years to read the paper online. My app stopped working & did not recognize me. or download the paper. No help from Apple or NYDN. I canceled before my subscription expired & I never received a refund! 🤬
Horrible Service
I had an active subscription that was good for another year and I can’t use either app available to continue my subscription. Daily News basically kept my money for a service I paid for that I cannot use. ROBBERY!!!!!!
Terrible app
I purchased 2 subscriptions and the app doesn’t recognize me as a paid subscriber … won’t renew !!
New app doesn't work
Don't bother wasting your time. I was a huge fan of the old app, had a subscription for years. When they changed the app I decided to a month free subscription to check it out. It keeps asking me to subscribe (even though I have) and it doesn't give me access to anything. Whomever @ NYDN decided to switch to this app should be fired. Don't waste a second of your time downloading it.

Why can’t I access my online paper. Very frustrating
I haven’t received the paper for Sunday (January 12) or today yet. This has happened before and it’s frustrating!

Could access the paper ? Called Apple couldn’t help called daily news no help so I had to cancel subscription. Re entered subscription. Same thing could not view the paper on any of my devices so that’s it. No explination!
