One-stop shop for news
Genuinely such a great app. Any news story you want and all of the information is there for you. Even silly things like how the Hantavirus is related to the Black Plague or something (don’t fact check that)
All of the info you need and beyond is attached to every story.. and the best part is there are these little tiktok/reels style videos but for the news that have sources and quotes attached to them.
..scratches that doomscrolling itch w/o having to actually doomscroll.

Transparent, clear, awesome
Feel like I’ve finally found a news app for the current moment. Clear writing, rich timelines that show how a story developed over days/months/years, social sharing features, transparency tools and NO ADS make the reading process genuinely enjoyable. You can tell real humans are making the calls, which is refreshing in a world drowning in AI slop.
And I’m not even a creator, but the story kits and creator feed make me want to be, everything you need to turn the news into content is just there.

News grounded in reality
Finally, an app that solves the problem of context-less news consumption! As a news reader, I don’t want to support legacy media any more than anyone else my age or younger. This app offers a platform for consumers and creators who care about evidence-based independent journalism to understand the news together. Here’s hoping it can help undo some of the damage inflicted upon society by social media platforms where conspiratorial claims have been allowed to flourish for the last two-ish decades!

I’m not an avid news reader so I tend to stay away from any news apps. I like this one because it explains the news instead of just reporting it. The timeline helps me get context on prior developments that color why things are the way they are.

I’ve started my days with Google news or Drudge for years, but I think I’ve found my new go to. Most news apps drop you into the middle of a story and assume you already know the backstory. Newdle's timelines actually walk you through how we got here step by step. Genuinely insightful. Just started playing with their Networks feature, a way to share news and keep the context intact. Oh, and check out what happens when someone makes a claim in a video! Receipts, right there.
