Not updated in almost a decade
I’ve had this app for years. I enjoy the clean and simple layout and the relatively unannoying ads but IOS 27 seems to have broken it, the app keeps closing unexpectedly while reading or scrolling.

APP CLOSES ITSELF WHEN YOU SCROLL
The Newser App closes whenever I try to scroll down to read the rest of the articles on my iPad but not my phone. I’ve tried to report the error issue but they don’t accept reports of errors or problems.
It used to be my go to news app. The AP is a storied news service I trust but Newser is a poor substitute for AP content because it doesn’t fix App errors like this and regarding content, many of it’s writers cut and paste all their content so poorly that the resulting stories don’t make sense. They definitely don’t proof-read because the errors are glaring things spellcheck or a proof reader would catch.
Why don’t they care?

Won’t load stories most of the time
Have a new phone so it’s not an equipment issue. Love this app but am getting frustrated with the inconsistent content loading issues.

No longer works
Please fix the app. Keeps saying I have to “verify my session”, then takes me the online version of Newser.
