Premium Price, Unreliable Features, Poor Resolution
After about 32 months with the Nexar One, I cannot recommend it. I spent over $500 on the system and paid $9.99/month for LTE primarily for connected features like remote streaming and vehicle monitoring.
Remote streaming was unreliable even in areas with good cellular reception, and I had contacted Nexar about these problems well before my most recent issue. Eventually, the camera stopped remaining available while my vehicle was parked. I confirmed the Nexar OBD adapter was receiving power, but support ultimately told me the camera’s internal battery was no longer holding a charge.
That means an important feature I purchased the camera and continued paying a monthly subscription for became unusable after less than three years.
What was most disappointing was Nexar’s resolution: a 15% discount toward buying another camera. After spending more than $500 on the system plus hundreds in subscription fees, asking me to spend more money did not feel like a reasonable solution.

Terrible for connecting the rearview camara- it doesn’t show up, and then you have to keep carplay disconnected.👎
Bring Back the Old Nexar App
Nexar Connect app is a headache. Every. Single. Time. I try to look into my app for any recent drives it ALWAYS makes me resign in. I have to put in my number, put the code in from the text, turn the dash cam on, wait for a blue light to blink, connect to the app. Like why??? Shouldn’t it be connected automatically already? I have no peace of mind anymore with the new app. I never have any idea if it’s actually recording or not when the whole point of the dash cam is not have to think about it. The old app ALWAYS sent a notification “Nexar Recording in the background” IT GAVE ME PEACE OF MIND. SOMETHING I DONT GET WITH THIS NEW APP. Not to mention the headache of having to constantly reconnect to the phone just to look at literally ANYTHING. The old app literally would still let you view your last drive on your phone without even being in the car. Granted it’d be very limited footage, if you wanted the full entire video well then you have to be near the dash cam while it’s on. Like I said, this new app is trash and I’m seriously considering looking into a new dash cam because of it.

Got rear ended
I just recently purchased a dash cam from Nexar 10 days after installation, I was rear-ended and caught the whole thing on camera front view, cabin view and rearview this thing has saved me well worth the price and definitely will be paying the monthly trial end ends.
Nexar One
Got the first model. Worked fine for a year and then started acting up. Not connecting or losing connection. It randomly stopped working. The camera does not connect. Customer support “tries” to troubleshoot but overall bad experience.
Camera doesn’t connect anymore
It was working amazing but stopped working I can’t even connect to my phone. Sucks to spend so much money and it go out. To then for them to be like it’s out of warranty we can only give you 20% off like that’s crazy.
Security!
More than ever people are driving, distracted, and this camera is perfect for recording it all. If you need proof, this is how you get it!

Without their help I would have had issues. Their help and the apps support, Nexar One dash cam, simply the best. First time with a rear cam and driving with confident.
Unreliable, slow, and full of bugs
Bought the cam. It constantly is chiming, announcing the stop and start of recordings. No options in app to customize settings. Get random notifications all the time on my phone of recordings. Even when car is parked in garage untouched. Trying to download a clip via cellular. Took almost 11 minutes. Junk app is getting deleted and junk cam is going back.

Absolute trash
This app has never worked correctly with my Nexar one and iPhone 16. The Classic app want perfect but I could at least connect to the camera. The app tells me the camera has to update and it will take a few minutes and it never updates. I’ve literally spent over an hour connected to the app with it open allowing time for the camera to update and it never works. Now it doesn’t even connect via wi-fi.

Can't connect rear
couldn't connect the rear so I contacted customer service after talking to them I sat in an open parking lot for about 30 minutes still couldn't update the firmware I'm currently in the process of returning the rear camera. The fact that it only updates on LTE and can't use your home Wi-Fi is so hilariously stupid.

Getting my videos
Everything is pretty much great with the paid service with the exception of how a video you want is saved. I used to be able to save my videos to my iPhone photos easier than now. It does not let me do it now. Can you make it easier? I want to send it to my ext message and be able to save it. Thanks?

Doesn’t connect
Always making the peeping noise when driving. they promote they took care of the issues so you could focus more on the road but i spend more time driving and being annoyed by the device trying to connect. This device leaves me worried about videos not being captured at all. If i went back to the time when i purchased this device. i’d go back and get the one i use on my second vehicle from amazon. It never fails, no issues, connects right away and it leaves me the piece of mind that everything is being recorded. for 400 usd invested on this device, i am a unsatisfied customer. I contacted customer support and got no help. This device only drains my battery also.

The old app was better. New one is trash and now they force you to use it.

This is BS forcing original owners to go to this app instead of classic. Everything seems to be a money grab with you people. This is the last time I purchase from nexar.

Sucks
I have been a Nexar customer since 2021. This year, around Christmas, I upgraded my cameras that now use Nexar connect app. Since I bought my first camera I have never have to pay for any service and with this new camera they want 9.99$ for each camera I have which I have front and rear so basically 20$ for the exact same service I got from Nexar Classic. I’m just going to revert back to my old camera and rather get my money back as I didn’t know I had to pay for service now. I wouldn’t mind paying but not that much. It sounds like you all just got greedy.

Old Nexar is way better!
It’s hard to connect, i can’t get the recording that i need. Everything is on timelapse. The old app was way better and easy to use.
Doesn’t work
Had nothing problems with this new app. The previous one worked fine. This app constantly is asking me to join the network. Which is the camera. I have an XR one. Nearly $300 and it’s a paperweight. The map doesn’t update. And if you actually want to see what’s going on while you’re driving, you have to go through 6 to 8 different menus to get the thing to show up.
I’d stay away from this as much as you can cause it does not work
