I can’t edit docx files in mobile app. It just shows 0kb. I tried everything and nothing worked. Collabora is fully functional on web browser. Please fix
Private and secure cloud storage
I’m no computer expert, but with a bit of help from ChatGPT an inexpensive Raspberry pi, I had Nextcloud setup and running for my entire family. You can either use a tunnel like Cloudflare or Tailscale to access your Nextcloud on all of your devices from anywhere.
Great app with lots of features, but E2EE feature does exist yet
The app is loaded with features that make it excellent for accessing cloud files on iOS on the go. The syncing of photos is also seamless!
This would be 5 stars, but the app/client-side E2EE continues to receive the checksums error regardless of updating/reinstalling the app and resetting E2EE on my server, leading me to believe this feature is just not available for iOS yet. It works on every other device I have except iOS. I have Joplin using an E2EE folder and it works fine on iOS.
This appears to be a known issue for iOS users and there just doesn’t seem to be support for this at the moment. I’d love to see E2EE support in the future!

Thankful but…
This thing doesn’t get treated like the first class storage provider it should be. The iPhone file management workflows are trash garbage (Apple’s fault) and I can never easily send files into this storage provider. It’s always a hassle to move anything in (out is easy). Whenever I “share” to the app there’s a good chance, depending on file type, that it will fail (esp. JSON which it tries to open in some assistant thing?)…maybe I’m using this wrong but it’s very painful to even browse the files via native Files app and I can’t directly save anything into the Nextcloud storage provider. It just does not work. I hope they’ll fix in the future. Considering dumping iPhone.

Best local cloud app!
I’ve been using this app for several years now, and it’s been a backbone for my home network. Whether you’re moving pics, screenshots, documents or pretty much anything, it’s a solid app. The only time it has ever not worked was due strictly to my server configuration after an update. It is full featured, and works seamlessly on my iPhone and iPad. Great app!

Уважаемые разработчики и создатели , безусловно огромная благодарность за это приложение . Но могли бы вы сделать так , чтобы приложение работало в фоновом режиме , то есть фото можно было загружать не находясь в открытом приложении . И добавьте , пожалуйста, функцию выбора фотографий зажатием и листанием вниз, а то каждую фото приходится отдельно тыкать и выбирать

Love using NC
I love using Nextcloud as my private self-hosted cloud instead of GDrive. But I had issues with the iOS version.
UPDATE: Found out what the problem was. My NC server was outdated and wasn’t communicating properly with the app. Upgrading was grueling, but it works now.

Developer for 4 years refuses to disable or add toggle to notification about “keep the app running in the background”

Приложение очень удобное и простое в использовании. В нем есть все необходимые функции для быстрых вычислений, а интерфейс понятен даже новичку. Особенно нравится, что приложение работает быстро и не зависает во время работы.
Best alternative To Google/OneDrive
I’ve been using nextcloud now for several years. I only have one user myself and it’s not on the internet. That being said, my phone syncs my photos to my nextcloud instance whenever I come home, also my calendars and contacts. Are there bugs… yes at times there are and the nextcloud developers do an excellent job of maintaining this (remember free) software. Great job guys!

Latest version crashes on startup immediately. App Store claims it needs 17.0 or later, but app reports OS not supported. Amateur hour release process. Cannot actually report a problem to dev; only provides options to get a refund (for a free app).

I’ve installed next cloud aio including the office suite on a 2013 MacBook with a new ssd running ubuntu. It works so well it’s unreal.
The app itself works as well as the OneDrive app I also use since my wife took a family subscription for it. I’ve got it installed on my android phone to backup photo but with the office apps installed on the server you can also seamlessly visualise and edit documents. Awesome. The photo gallery works well and looks good. Well worth the investment in installing the server software.

Хорошее приложение которое последние 2 месяца перестало работать. При открытии приложения оно сразу вылетает. Было несколько обновлений - но проблема они не решили.
Markdown and text
Nextcloud is fast and integrates well with iOS for pdfs and most document types. The lack of markdown and text integration is a show stopper for me. Every time it try to load a text file on my iPhone, I get “not found “ error.
Nextcloud notes app has the same problem. I’ve been looking for a solution for weeks. I may have to give up on my self-hosted Nextcloud server for this reason.
