Constant banning
Suspended for Harmless Posts — Not Worth the Stress
Nextdoor is absolutely not worth the frustration. The moderation on this app is terrible. Accounts get suspended over harmless posts, normal conversations, and things that other people post every single day without any problem. Meanwhile, when you try to appeal, you get the same generic response with no real explanation.
I’m sick and tired of feeling like you have to walk on eggshells just to post something. What is the point of a neighborhood app if people are afraid to interact because their account might randomly get suspended?
And I’m clearly not the only one. So many people complain about getting suspended or restricted for ridiculous reasons. The moderation feels inconsistent, unfair, and honestly exhausting.
The app seriously needs better moderators, clearer rules, and a system that actually looks at context instead of automatically punishing people.
At this point, it’s more stress than it’s worth. I would not recommend being part of this app
Put back “nearby” option for iPad

Used to be a great place to network until they got money hungry! Charging me to offer services

bio, and reaching out to sellers for things I wanted to buy. And then all the sudden I get suspended with no way to appeal. I am extremely disappointed as I wanted to find community and resources through this app. I would like my account back as this is very unfair. I barely even used the account…?

Unmoderated, ganged up on, and...Mock for sharing experiences and selling things
At first, when I posted about my food poisoning incident, not only did people doubt me, but someone even made a fake account pretending to be the business owner just to intimidate me and make me fearful about what I had shared.
Then, when I tried to sell a chair for a standard price (£100-£120), a price plenty of other people post at, they mocked my listing and my pricing. When I set boundaries and defended my post, they targeted me, claiming I was the rude one, while they were the ones gaslighting me, twisting my words, and backing each other up just to mock me.
This woman Lisa (with the collage) dog profile picture was commenting rudely, and Wendy (with no picture) was ganging up on me as well, all over something that had nothing to do with them. All they had to do was ask, "Are you open to offers?" and leave it at that. Instead, they just wanted to interrogate me and make me feel bad for even posting. To top it off, this guy Christian from Snodland was liking their comments because he was part of the same toxic gang.
The admins were never really there to de-escalate anything; the whole thing is just a toxic culture where everyone gets away with it without facing any consequences. Nextdoor is not a friendly local community app. It is more like Nextdoor bullying.
