Great app but support needs review

Nielsen Pulse is a really useful app, and I honestly think it deserves more recognition. After installing it, I discovered several things on my phone that had been changed or altered without my knowledge—things I may never have noticed without this app.

My only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is the lack of response from customer support. I need to make some changes that can only be done through support, but I haven’t been able to get a response despite reaching out multiple times. I’ve even removed and reinstalled the app while trying to resolve the issue myself.

Aside from the support problem, I really like the app and find it valuable. If they improved their customer support response time, I’d happily give Nielsen Pulse five stars.

Support will not Help you

I have an existing Nielsen Pulse account, but the app stopped sending the one-time password (OTP) needed to log in, leaving me locked out.

The bigger problem has been customer support. After multiple emails over several weeks, I either received automated acknowledgments or responses that completely misunderstood my issue, treating it as a new registration problem instead of a login/OTP failure. Despite clearly explaining that I already have an account, my actual problem has still not been addressed.

An app that requires OTP to access your account needs responsive support when that system fails. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Not a very good app to use!!

The VPN is hard to use on my iPhone, plus this app promises instant rewards and I haven’t gotten a single one, plus this app is kind of weird. It doesn’t really explain how it works or how to use it!! Don’t bother wasting your time using this app!!! Plus I didn’t get any help from their customer support team!! 😡👎🏾

This app is awful.

The VPN makes my phone so slow and this has been extremely frustrating. I’m waiting to get my gift card and then deleting the app because shutting my phone off multiple times a day to get a better connection when I’m sitting in my house is annoying. Worst app I’ve ever downloaded. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I don’t care how my health information is anonymized before being applied to national statistical models: I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SIGN OFF RIGHTS TO MY PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION FOR THE MODERN VERSION OF THE NIELSEN BOX. IT IS ONE THING TO SHARE WHAT YOU WATCH. IT IS ANOTHER TO SHARE YOUR HEALTH ISSUES. I don’t like to be reminded of my disabilities and I know all this would do is aggressively benefit market research firms that provide targeting ads on people’s phones. No thanks, and [redacted]!
