New system
I had an old Amcrest camera system and it gave out. I did research because I wanted a system that wasn’t online. I am very happy with the ease of set up and the features that the app supplies. The system is head and shoulders above what I had.

Customer service is horrible, camera broke within 3 weeks of buying it
My night owl camera broke within three weeks of buying it. I contacted. Customer service went through their process of the document documents that they needed to look into it and to try to fix it. They have continuously ignored me and told me flat out that since I did not need any help that they would close the account. And nothing would happen. I responded back that the last email that I got from them was that the case was sent to a different team. I have not been contacted. I have not had my camera fixed or replaced. It is well within the warranty period. The camera that still works, doesn’t always record. Sometimes it chooses to record sometimes it does not. So also not good. I would never ever recommend this company or these cameras.

The App is absolute Garbage
The cameras seam fine. The app is the worst app I have used in my life. It is absolutely terrible. Is is limited on what you can do and what it does have it does not do that right. Glitches constantly and incredible slow. Stay away from this product.

Works okay drops out but only for a few minutes, not like our last system. Video is very good like the system. Would recommend to use for the low price.
What happened to this app
I had no problems with the app for a couple of years. We have it on 3 phones. Mine is the only one affected. One day all of my cameras were just missing. I spent 2 hours on the customer service line. I did everything they said. The agent then told me to restart my phone. He never called back. I’ve went through everything multiple times that I was told to do, it still doesn’t work.

Stop saying there’s AI tech
There’s no AI in anything here. Your board is made by Hangzhou Xiongmai Technology and you guys have nothing to do with it. Seems like the lawyers would have been all over this fraudulent claim. Worst UI ever on hdmi monitor. Scale timeline from 24hrs to 1hr to 30min? Makes no useful sense. Maybe split the day up in 4 hr segments. No video editor works like this and that’s where the timeline concept came from. How about letting users favorite clips create bookmarks? It’s beyond terrible. You can record, you just can’t locate anything beyond these stupid idents, Human (which is a waving branch most of the time), Vehicle (which is when nothing is in the driveway), and Motion (which means god knows what at this point).

Cameras capture everything fine. The app is not reliable whatsoever. Laggy and won’t load your clips. Keeps losing connection.
