Großer Fan, aber

langsam wird es unschön.

Ich freu mich riesig, dass sich in der App seit einigen Monaten so viel tut. Ich bezahle pro für „Dynamic Island“ und „Live activities“ und surprise: nutzlos. Aktualisiert sich alle paar Stunden. Nicht mal wenn ich die App öffne aktualisiert es sich jedes Mal.

Ich bezahl jetzt nicht 50€ für Max, nur das es damit eventuell besser tut. Bietet wenigstens einen testzeitraum an.

Und der nervigste Bug seit Jahren ist immer noch drin: öffne ich die App nach längerer Zeit kommt sofort ein Alarm bzgl. fehlender Werte. Obwohl ich es schon entsprechend eingestellt hab. Und es beendet die Audio Wiedergabe.

Und ja, ich weiß der bug ist bekannt im git. Aber es tut sich nichts mehr. Die fixe dazu waren nicht erfolgreich.

Danke für das Feedback! Wie sich herausstellte ist ein Update der Dynamic Isle sowie der Live Activities nur per Push Notifications technisch möglich :(. Dies ist von Apple so festgelegt worden. D.h. bei einem Update alle 5 Minuten sind tausende Push Notifications pro Gerät und Monat notwenig. Dazu muss die Server Hardware angemietet und die einzelnen Push über einen speziellen Google Dienst per Kosten von 3,99€ pro Monat weiter gereicht werden. Sorry dafür! Hatte auch überlegt das Feature komplett von Pro zu Max zu schieben, aber dann wären vermutlich auch Nutzer beleidigt gewesen. So sieht man den letzten Wert aus der App wenigstens noch in der Isle. Der Alarm wird von der App sofort unterdrückt und kann komplett unterbunden werden, wenn man einen ansteigenden Alarmton wählt. Da das Projekt weiterhin Open Source entwickelt und frei zur Verfügung gestellt wird ist ein Pull-Request jederzeit willkommen. Leider konnte ich das auch nach verschiedenen Ansätzen nach der Umstellung auf Swift UI nicht besser hinbekommen. Ich schaue aber auch weiterhin, ob ich noch selber eine Idee dazu habe. Leider alles nur innerhalb meiner begrenzten Freizeit. Ein Support der App durch die Nightscout Community ist aktuell leider sehr stark zurück gegangen.

App works good, would like more readable watch complications

The app itself works quite well. My only complaint is that the watch complications are far too small to read. For the smaller one I can see the color but it’s impossible to read the value. And for the larger complication, it would be great if thefe was an option to just see the latest value in a much larger font rather than the latest 3 readings in tiny writing that is too difficult to read.

Tolle App

Die App ist toll und macht einen übersichtlichen und soliden Eindruck. Die Pro Version habe ich mir vor allem wegen der Werte im Dynamic Island geleistet. Leider aktualisiert sich dieser Wert erst wenn ich die Nightguard App selbst öffne… Da nützt mir diese Funktion natürlich nichts. Wenn das ginge, gibt’s 5 Sterne *****

Danke für das Feedback. Die Updates sind in jedem Fall deutlich seltener, als wenn die App im Vordergrund ist. Ich prüfe aber nochmal, ob man das noch besser hinbekommt.

After the most recent update my app no longer properly fetches data from Gluroo and doesn’t update as it used to! I have to close the app and reopen it for it to show my current BG data - this is not helpful at all!!!

Unable to Set Custom Date/Time for Cannula and Sensor Changes

After the latest update, I can no longer set a custom date and time for cannula or sensor changes.
Even if I tap the time and select a different date/time, when I press “Save” it automatically changes to the current date and time.

This makes it impossible to enter the actual change time if I forgot to record it immediately.
Could you please look into this issue?

Problem with alerts

Whenever I try to adjust the alert settings for a high blood sugar and low blood sugar no matter what I set it to it automatically defaults to 180 for a high and 80 low. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and I still get the same results.

Needs better integration with Apple Health

The only reason I’m using this app is to sync my FreeStyle Libre glucose readings into the Apple Health app. While it was working better earlier, it isn’t working so well now.

For readings to sync, I have to be in the Glucose portion of Apple Health (AH). If I’m anywhere else, it doesn’t sync. If AH is closed it doesn’t sync. It did before.

It gets its readings from Gluroo. I tried NightScout Pro with no success. When it does sync it only syncs the last 6 hours. Which means I constantly have to be opening and monitoring the AH app for glucose.

The support option is confusing and requires a separate account.

After installing the app on my apple watch, I only get the readings on my watch for about an hour and it quits working. I uninstall and reinstalled numerous times. I gave up! It does work on my phone ok.

Alarms never go off

I have tried everything to get the notifications to go off on my iPhone and nothing ever plays. I only get a simple instagram sounding chime for “missed readings”, no alerts. This is really frustrating as I have to wake up my relative during the night and I can’t hear a single alarm.

Almost perfect

I’m using this app every night to well.. guard me. I love it, please just add some spacing around the icon because it messes up the Home Screen harmony. Everything else is perfect!

UPDATE: The “keep screen awake” feature has stopped working, which disrupts the app’s core functionality. Please address this issue as soon as possible.

Nice idea, dicey execution

Initially downloaded this app to get my glucose levels on my Apple Watch. Found a better solution for this.

But I like that it can feed my info into Apple Health. However.

It’s intermittent. I’d like it to just pick up the values from Gluroo (or LibreLink directly) and post them to Apple Health. No intervention.

But that’s not the case. I lost over two days of values,

More importantly, this app could use some support. Poking around in GitHub isn’t cutting it. And not resolving any issues.

If I have to pay for NightScout, I will. Because it’s important to me to get that info into Apple Health. But I’m not paying for anything that doesn’t have real support.

Nice to be able to get readings on watch but text is way too tiny

While it’s nice to be able to get the readings on the watch, the text is way too tiny. The circle complication options are unreadable and for the large rectangle in the middle, Instead of showing three lines of tiny text, it would be great to have the option of a single current reading in giant readable text. I want to be able to glance at my watch to see my reading but I have to squint to try to even read the text.

Alarms don’t work.

The alarms only work if the Nightguard screen is up. If you are doing anything else or don’t leave the screen active the alarms won’t push through. This is pretty basic. It’s an alarm. It needs to be active no matter what screen is up.
