My Fingers Hurt
The app and sensor work fine, but the inability to save and export bulk data as a .csv has opened my eyes to the wrist pain of heavy numpad use. Plus, it's kinda annoying that the sensor crashes if you tab out of the app while it's collecting data.
EXCELLENT PRODUCT
I HAVE USED BOTH THE MINI 2 AND MINI 3. EXCELLENT COLOUR MATCHES..

Poor Connection
Takes 5-6 attempts to connect with device. Never had an issue with the original Nix.
Great app if you have phone signal
It’s a great app, but on several occasions now it won’t work because it is trying to download the paint library in an area with no phone signal. I just want to use my mini 3 with single scan mode.
Purchased libraries don’t work
Just updated the app. Purchased the RAL library and it charged my credit card but it does not show up under the list of purchased libraries. Help!
Doesn’t work anymore
I had problems with the paint libraries not downloading which meant the app was useless for me. However it turned out somehow my WiFi router was stopping the download and once I forced my iPhone to use mobile data it was fine.

Schlechte Software
Das ist mal eine benutzerunfreundliche Software. Viel zu kleine Schrift und ständig muss man sich neu einloggen.
Old NIX Apps were better
The old NIX apps allowed you to choose multiple color vendors and would show excellent and good matches to multiple vendors. The new one only shows good matches to a single vendor, making it not nearly as helpful.
One use and dead
I was able to use my Nix mini 2 exactly one time. Then the app can no longer connect even after many many hours of charging. Contacted technical support. My device is charged, it shows up in Bluetooth, but Pair on the app it gives an error.
Solid app, very cool concept
Seems to be accurate. Easy to use. Not sure what the bad reviews are on about.
App crashing
Having issues with the app crashing since the update
Good, but the UI really needs work
This is nice app with a poor user interface. Once you figure out how it does things, it’s good, but the learning curve is steep because it does not follow iOS UI conventions at all. It’s like a PC app from the 1980’s.
Nix, give the UI a complete overhaul, and this time, make it easier to figure out how to scan for color values, how to match to a paint brand, and how to save and export both types of data. Then you’d have a real winner. Right now, I’d hesitate to recommend the Nix Mini to my friends.

Constantly crashes
I’d bought a Nix mini 3, having high hopes for matching existing decor. So far I can’t even use it! The app crashes before you can even do anything. IOS fully up to date, most recent version of the app, and no other identified clashes causing it, so I’m now stuck with an expensive piece of kit that I can’t use because the app won’t work. Sort it out!!

I don’t understand the bad reviews.
I don’t get the bad reviews. Maybe they were from an older version of the app, but I don’t mind the app, and have had no issues.
I’m an artist, traditional and digital. I have the Nix Mini 3.
I had no issues pairing, and no issues scanning to get the right color.
I use the single scan to get the HEX codes along with the image of the hue and value. It’s an incredibly useful tool when I want to color match reference images to ensure I get a decent match with the paint I’m mixing or the colored pencil I’m choosing.

Complicated for how simple it should be.
Really difficult to use. Saving and accessing collections could be easier. It is also crazy that there is no landscape support for iPads the app is always 90 degrees wrong. Such an easy fix. I can’t find any way to calibrate the sensor. Zero instructions and no links either.
Great App!
Great general color checking app. I use it with a Nix Spectro 2 to compare colors.
Disappointed
The unit is so wildly off even after calibration that it is useless in the field. No on/off button so you have to bring a usb battery backup and plug it in to turn it on or wake it up. Constantly prompts for a password after a period of disuse and doesn’t work with face id or Apple’s password manager to remember the password. I would have loved for this to be a great addition to my painting contractors toolbox but I’m extremely disappointed with it.

It’s good but….
Sometimes it gets the colour spot on, other times it not even close. If it worked all the time it would be incredible
