Illegally charged despite canceling subscription

I got a refund. They agreed to a refund a day after charging me and receiving an email from me explaining why they needed to give me a refund.

They illegally charged me despite my cancelling my free trial 24 hours before it ended. Still trying to get a refund. Beware signing up for their subscription on their website as there is no instantaneous electronic cancellation mechanism. I went through the steps as directed multiple times and received no cancellation email. I additionally emailed customer service so that I could have a record of requesting to cancel.
This could have been a useful app to subscribe to in months when I play gigs that don’t give out non public domain music in advance, but I won’t do so unless they sort out an effective instaneous electronic cancellation mechanism and refund the illegal charge. For public domain music imslp is adequate and FREE.

Beware Region Block
Despite the huge subscription costs, majority of music is locked behind a region wall and unavailable. Further to this, the user interface and searchability of music is very poor. Do not recommend beyond the 7 day free trial.

“Your subscription is connected to another account”
Paid $15 for subscription through apple while logged into my account, suddenly logged out and told my subscription is active through another account. I don’t have another account!! Tried making an apple account and logging in through there (thinking maybe it was attached to my Apple ID) but no, nothing. Horrible app. Not my first time using it, and I can assure you it’s been a nightmare every time. I hate this thing so much.
Update: I have still not received a refund for this, and I’m still unable to access subscription content.

Login Process is Atrocious
This app has some benefits, I’ll give it that. However, the process of logging in your account and/or your instructions account is absolutely atrocious. It’s always taking 3-10 minutes to finally get logged in. I honestly only use it as my university offers it, but honestly, it’s not great. It’s also super slow. Like A+ developers for the idea. However the overall design, speed, and login process, y’all are morons for that one.

Horribly slow
Greatly appreciate being able to access the contemporary scores that are hard to find elsewhere. I’ve paid for nkoda for a few years now.
But now I have an iPad which should make using nkoda easier, I’ve found this app is sluggish and takes forever to load even downloaded scores. It’s a slog, and for the first time I’m considering unsubscribing to nkoda. Once app is optimised I’ll reconsider.

Score colour
This app could be all I ever need, but there isn't a way to change the background colour of the scores to beige. Looking at a bright white screen for hours on end gives me huge migraines, so I'll continue using the IMSLP score reader until this feature is included. (others will have different accessibility needs to myself and would benefit from other colours too.)

Awful app, invaluable resource
The app is incredibly difficult to use and constantly crashes. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to log in and access music, but once you’re in the amount of music you can access is brilliant. It’s a shame because nkoda has the potential to be a fantastic resource, but it is held back by how awful the app is.

login takes ages. app is glitchy. lots of waiting for things to load. not reliable. the library is good, but sorry, it’s just not worth the pain
Absolute garbage
Unreliable. Can’t use my subscription because the app says it is ‘tied to another account’ even though it is not true. The app itself is buggy and slow. Waste of money.

Horrible, absolute scam company
Nkoda is a scam company. They hooked me in by offering a free 7-day trial, which I agreed to. I only signed up for it because I was in search of ONE piece of music I couldn't find anywhere else. After a couple of days I realized they didn't have it either (even though they said they did) and so I went to cancel the service. The website would not allow me to sign in with the password I set up, so I requested a new password. Was told I would get it "immediately" in my email inbox. Never came, after three separate tries. Wrote to the company, was charged $21.99 for the first month anyway!

Cannot access my institutional account
The application won’t let me access my institutional account. After being redirected to my school’s website to sign in with my credentials, the app doesn’t log me in.
Impractical to use
Ends my session and logs me out almost every time I close and reopen the app. Cannot realistically use the app like this.

THIEVES and horrible app
I’d rate it ZERO if I could. I cancelled my subscription last August 2024before paying the ridiculous almost 50% increase … And now in March 2025 they’ve charged me $139 dollars — without authorization. How do they still have my CC info AFTER I cancelled my. Subscription? The UI was horrible … NO customer support. Horrible horrible experience. I don’t even know how to get my money back from this unauthorized “renewal” more than 6 months after I CANCELLED!
