About
Is tonight worth going out for?
That is the only question. Norya answers it with a score out of 100, computed for your exact position and for the hour ahead. Not a raw Kp index you have to interpret: an answer.
Where does the number come from?
From five measurements, crossed. Auroral activity, through NOAA's OVATION model. The sky directly above you: three cloud layers, visibility, rain. Real darkness, from how far the Sun has set. The Moon, its phase and height, which erase a weak aurora. And the solar wind, averaged over thirty minutes.
What if Norya doesn't know?
It says so. No weather data, no score: not zero, not a neutral value, because zero would mean "no chance", which is not the same as "I don't have the data". When two models disagree, confidence drops rather than the score rising.
When should you go out?
The home screen gives the best window to the hour, the three factors weighing most tonight, and the whole night in one graph. During the day, when the score would be zero no matter what, Norya shows the peak of the coming night: that is the question you ask at two in the afternoon.
What about elsewhere?
The map draws the live auroral oval on the globe, the day/night line and your pinned spots. Touch a point and it answers. Your saved destinations sit side by side, each with the local time where it is.
Do you have to watch the screen?
No. Norya watches your location with the app closed and wakes you when the sky opens. Adjustable threshold, confidence requirement, quiet hours.
What does the full version cost?
The free version genuinely lets you see an aurora: the score, the verdict, the window, the map, the oval, detailed conditions, live measurements and NOAA's three-day forecast. It is not a demo.
Norya Pro adds alerts, 72 hours of hour-by-hour forecast instead of 24, the map timeline, detailed solar wind with six hours of curves, the 27-day trend, every window of a night, and last night's comparison.
Three plans: 24.99 EUR per year, about 2.08 EUR per month; 3.99 EUR per month; or a 15-day pass at 2.99 EUR, non-renewing, which simply ends. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before it ends. You manage everything from your App Store account settings.
No account to create, no sign-up. The alert service receives only an anonymous token, one coordinate and your thresholds. One button erases everything, on the server too.
