An App That Deserves More Love. 💛
As an Asian American with immigrant parents from Vietnam, I grew up with both American and Vietnamese cultures. Despite this, there are still aspects of Vietnamese culture I did not knew, particularly since I've lived in the U.S. for my entire life so far (I’m only fifteen years old at the time I wrote this review.) While searching for ways to improve my Vietnamese, I stumbled upon this app by chance. At first, I expected “Not Phở” to be an okay app that could broaden my knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine.
However, as soon as I opened the app, I was instantly impressed by its beautiful, simple, and modern design.
The app's clean graphic design and smooth animations are easy to navigate, and it offers a rich amount of information I never knew before! For example, although my mother cooks Vietnamese dishes ALMOST all the time, I did not knew most of the specific ingredients she used, but this app told me everything about the ingredients in an instant. 🍚
You can really feel the love and dedication pour into this app by its creator, Linh. If you're reading this, Linh, thank you so much for gifting the world this gem, and for making it free for everyone to enjoy. (I rarely write reviews, but you deserve it! 🥹)
This app is incredibly easy to use and it’s badly underrated. PLEASE, as a Vietnamese myself, I am begging you to DOWNLOAD this app if you are interested in learning Vietnamese cuisine. 🇻🇳💕🌸
