About
Keep your notarial record the way your state expects, right on your phone.
Notary Journal gives you a sequential, append-only log that mirrors a bound paper book. Every entry gets a number that is never reused. You can void an entry with a reason, but you cannot edit or delete one, so the record stays defensible.
Pick your state once and the entry form changes to match it. You see the fields your state requires, the optional ones it allows, and none of the ones it forbids. Where a state bars recording an ID number, the app blocks that field for you. The ruleset is cited to the statute and version-stamped, so you always know which rules an entry was logged under.
WHAT YOU GET
- Strict sequential numbering with a tamper-evident hash chain anyone can re-verify
- Per-state field templates that handle required, optional, and forbidden fields for you
- Date and time stamped at the moment you save
- Signer details, ID type and issuer, document type, and fee, with the state fee cap shown
- Thumbprint attestation, tracked per entry
- Witness fields for credible-witness and subscribing-witness identification
- PDF export that carries the hash chain for audits
- Works fully offline, no account, no cloud
- Free to try: your first 5 entries, or your first 14 days, whichever comes first
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your journal lives on your device, encrypted at rest with AES-256, and you can lock the app behind Face ID or Touch ID. There is no sign-in, no server, no tracking. ID numbers stay off by default and are hard-blocked in states that forbid them. Export a copy whenever you want one.
WHO IT IS FOR
Commissioned notaries and notary signing agents who have to keep a journal and want it accurate and ready for an audit.
This is a record-keeping tool. It does not give legal advice. Confirm your state authorizes an electronic journal for the act you are performing, and verify its current statute. The per-state ruleset is cited and version-stamped, and you should reconcile it against primary sources.
