Won’t start
No matter which doc I try to upload, it keeps telling me it failed. I can’t start writing because of it

Honestly, this is really good on desktop, but it does not work well for iPhone. She is not compatible with it. It is not formatted correctly so when you try to create new characters or new roles, it doesn’t give you the ability to say because you can’t scroll down anymore. It is not formatted properly in the fact that the keyboard gets in the way of what you’re actually typing or overlapping so you can’t see it again this is a great desktop, but it is very poorly formatted for iPhone.

Executive Dysfunction’s Kryptonite
I can’t say enough good things about this platform. I love the world codex and seeing my character sheets. I love the beta reader function. I love the reader interface. I can write with all of my tools or go into focus mode when my ADHD has hands. Truly makes writing feel more accessible and I can’t thank the dev team enough!

Unusable on IOs
I'm in the world building phase. The desktop/website version works dreamily on PC. But on iPhone, the App's header comes too far down. When I tap on a text field to enter a value, I have to type blind because some mysterious black box rises above the keyboard (and I can't scroll down to get rid of it) which blocks me from seeing what I'm typing.

Definitely Worth Trying
I have to gush about this because I’m honestly blown away. I've been using the web based program for the last month and it's amazing! I'm thrilled to see the founder finally created an app! On the topic of the founder, you can tell he actually cares about writers. He listens to feedback, implements suggestions, and isn’t just trying to get rich quick. That alone already sets it apart.
But the program itself? Seriously impressive.
There’s a consistency guardian that catches things I would’ve missed completely, a World Codex that updates itself as you write, and a ton of thoughtful tools woven in. They even give you a built‑in author website and are super transparent about how their AI works. And don’t worry—there are no features that write for you. It’s just grammar and spell checking plus smart analysis that helps you keep your story clean and coherent.
If you’re an author of any kind—new, experienced, indie, trad—this is worth trying. I’m honestly obsessed.

I am able to keep all of my chapters in one place, create temporary links for beta readers, the Ai creates a codex of all of my characters and their descriptions, and so much more.

I’ve been using Novelium on the web & my PC for months now, and I’m thrilled to see the iOS app launch!!! Being able to access all of my projects on my iPad means I can write wherever inspiration strikes, and on all of my devices!

The most comprehensive, smart and user friendly writing system!
I’ve tried all the different software platforms for writing including Scrivener, LivingWriter, Campfire, Storyist Plottr and more. While many have great features and do one thing really well, none of them do it all like Novelium.
Here’s what makes it the absolute best—simple to use and understand, an amazing automatic world codex, constant backups, story arc tracking and smart conflict assessment. I can’t say enough about how great the automatic world codex is- drawing out your characters, locations, rules, objects/items etc. It then combines this with a strong conflict assessment that warns you if you have inconsistencies in your chapters. It’s really comprehensive, for example—it caught conflicts in a combat sequence between prior rules and the action events described.
Lastly and most importantly, the dev team is super responsive and helpful. I asked some questions about backups and literally overnight they upgraded the backups to a really robust system that syncs across desktop, mobile, iPad, web etc. No weird backups or manually saving files etc (although you can if that’s your thing).
This is a robust, smart, comprehensive set of writing tools, designed by people who understand writing and finally created something to provide you deep support but never getting in the way of creativity.

Great features that free every few minutes
The app, itself is great, the learning curve is worth it; however, the app freezes so often that every few minutes, I will have for force close the app to restart it. I rinse and repeat often with this app, but I like the features.
