Lots to improve
This app has barely changed in years. The NT news is keen to posts links to stories on their social media, but not quite so quick to update where you can read it. Having a subscription also doesn’t allow you to make comments on articles. Murdoch press censor anyone that doesn’t match their agenda, and allows obviously Ai bots comments on federal political too overwhelm any discussion. Now apparently as of September 2026, if you’re not a “premium subscriber” (whatever that is because the app wont show you anything) you cant comment at all. The NT News and its app are relics of a better time when local news was juts that, local news, not multitude of opinion pieces passing themselves off as journalism.

Today I have been told by ntnews the reason I can no longer access the NT news on the app or read online articles is because my subscription doesn’t allow it! This is despite the fact I have had full access since my digital subscription since 2017. This is fraudulent and shonky behavior by ntnews. Another way to get you to pay more. To suddenly change your subscription access without warning rings shades of fraud. This is so unprofessional particularly when there has been no communication and we have been left wondering why we can’t access digital content. Shame on you ntnews!
