Great but some recent issues
Long time user of an amazing amazing app. Just noticed some regressions in the last month or so
in the iPhone app. Settings dialog won’t open and if it does, I can’t exit it. Clicking on recent files does nothing. Kindly look into it.

Powerful and convenient
Obsidian is simple, super portable, easy to mod, and can be really powerful. The team also continues to add nice quality-of-life features to the base app. My go-to for research, development, and journaling!
Lost Many Stories
I heard many good things about this app for story planning and writing, so I decided to give it a try so I can properly organize my markdown files and write stories. Only had it for a day and never have I been more horrified. The last thing I expected was for Obsidian to completely make my markdown files disappear from my external drive for all my fanfiction works. Thankfully my original fiction remained untouched. That would have been worse if it did. All the worldbuilding, notes, research, and chapters I wrote for those fanfics are gone. Like they never existed. Did the usual troubleshooting, but nothing brought it back. I was lucky I was able to file recover in one of my cloud drives to get the files I have lost. I’m terrified of losing my works and don’t want a repeat of this experience, so I’m moving over to a different app. It’s a huge deal breaker if my works are lost this easily with Obsidian. Not only that, I’m not able to access my external drive on the app, which is another huge deal breaker as cross platform is a must have and I don’t want to be paying a subscription just to be able to cloud sync + cross platform for all my creative writing works when I can simply just one time purchase external storage then plug in then write. I have no plans of using Obsidian again. Don’t recommend for serious writing. Only if you’re working on one device and are using cloud sync, that is. If you want to write seriously and/or rather use an external storage for creative writing, I suggest finding a different app.
Overall, hugely disappointed since I heard so much good things about this app for notetaking, planning, and creative writing. So, I had expectations. Unfortunate that Obsidian didn’t meet them.

Best note taking app ever
A good portion of me keeping track of information involves now Obsidian. Once you learn to handle Markdown, the options are seemingly limitless… You can customize it to keep it as simple or complex as you want it. Do you know how to code? You have a superpower using this app.
Amazing tutorials and ideas on line, great flexibility, plenty of community plugins… make it your own and it’s a personal mini-internet…
I pay for syncing. I’ve never been happier to pay a developer for an app.
Warning*: The phone app is not nearly as powerful as the computer app. If you want a standalone phone note-taking app there may be better options.

Cannot live without it
Obsidian has to be the most important app I have ever used in my life. I use it for everything. I’ve learned and changed styles and topics over the years. I’ve used it for work and creative purposes alike. It’s truly the best and I cannot imagine not using obsidian virtually every day.
Horrible sync with the MacOS version
Impossible to sync between devices. The logic is very old school, reminding me of old apps like Evernote.

Obsidian virou meu hub de notas. Migrei tudo do Apple notes porque uso windows, Android, macOS e iOS. No início é complicado entender as formatações e relações entre notas, mas conforme vai aprendendo entende que o Obsidian é um aliado para organizar as informações. Em um dia você está fazendo simples relações entre notas, e na outra semana uma base automática via queries com Dataview a partir das propriedades das suas notas. 10/10.

모바일 렌더링 성능 최악
모르지 않을텐데 왜 그럴까요..? 키보드 이벤트조차 엄청 느림. 백그라운드 갓다가 돌아오면, 5-10초 멈춰있음. 앱 처음 켜면 인덱싱 10초 걸려서, draft note 기능으로는 쓸 수 없을 정도. 노트앱 최악의 경험 중 하나입니다. 빠르게 개선 안되면 유저 다 떠납니다.

Great for creative writing.
I been using obsidian for 3 years now as my primary creative writing app. It has everything I need from a highly customizable text editor, plugins, and iCloud sync all for free. Highly reccomended it!
Exceptional organization tool
Obsidian has helped me not only get my studying on track but notes for my life. The ability to review them in an organized format and recall them is like tapping in to node of memory. An amazing product and worth the usage, time and investment.
Limited iCloud Sync
Really wish it was able to see vaults in any iCloud Drive folder.

Search has become broken.
Just noting that search on iOS and Mac has stopped working today. Tested words that were copied from my obsidian notes and pasted into obsidian search. Doesn’t pick up any notes anymore. Any suggestions?

Best companion you can have
From simple to more complex, you can just use or tinker with. It has changed my life by centralization. Don’t be shy to use their synchronization subscription and open a web site of yours for family or work, as it becomes also a secure and great communication tool.

弄好远程同步插件后多端用起来非常爽，不过移动端功能阉割的有点多，日常只能够当做一个多端记事本或者，但即便如此，也很好用了
