Wanted to love
This app’s goals are certainly in the right place, but the browser itself is kind of wonky. There’s a lot of bugs & errors when it comes to using sites I regularly do, such as being detected as a bot to some sites on OceanHero when I’m not on any other browser…? It’s just annoying and makes using certain websites extremely frustrating. However, on the bright side, I do find myself trying to make random searches just to get someone to clean up a water bottle from the ocean, so I guess that’s a positive. Really good concept, the browser just needs a lot of improvement.

It’s amazing!
I’ve been using this app for months now and every 8 searches you save an entire bottle of water! I love knowing my researches can prevent water being wasted on non eco friendly AI’s!
Keep Signing Me Out
I loved the idea of tracking how much plastic you’ve helped recover with your searches, but I get signed out of my account after about every 3-4 searches and then the tracker resets to zero. When I try to sign back in it wants me to click a link in my email every time. This is ridiculously frustrating and I’m just going to find a better browser.

I’m not constantly getting pushed for 30 day trials on random things. It is very easy to follow and I also love how “finny” is powered by renewable energy

Needs more features
I downloaded OceanHero so I wouldn’t get annoying AI overviews from Google and I really like it so far but I just wish there were more features like Google/Safari. Like I wish I could make my own custom tab groups so I can have a private one, a main one, a shopping one, a reading one, and a school one. I overall I really like OceanHero and will continue to use it because I hate AI.

Greenwashing and doesn’t work
I tried using this app but every time I search something it keeps going to Google and still has the ai overview. Save your time and storage and find another eco friendly app.
It redirects me to Google
I love the app and everything it stands for but whenever I try and search something it redirects me to Google and thus my points aren’t increasing. I hope they correct the issue as I do not seem to be the only one experiencing this

This is amazing, just like safari or google but helping save the seas! I just don’t understand, because I have an account on it, but I can’t sign into it on the app? I want to see how many bottles I save, but I can’t check! Amazing app though, im just really slow lol

it’s really good four it on TikTok and downloaded but im really quite annoyed because I don’t have a laptop and im an iPhone user I have tried using it but it just won’t work and every time it just sends me to google with ai overviews and all that jazz which kinda defeats the point so no I don’t have a laptop so it might just be my fault but great if you want to help as long as your not an iPhone user!!!! PLEAAE FIX THIS UGH

Why is it that everytime I search up something, it takes me straight to Google? It doesn’t make sense. Like there’s no point in using this app if every search takes me straight to Google. 🤦♀️
OceanHero
I’ve been using this app for 3-4 years already and I’ve never switched to google or safari. My sister recommended me this app at the start of my journey and it’s my go to app. I was surprised by how much low the ratings are! I love OceanHero with all my heart but as of now, the reason I gave a 4/5 star rating is because of the frequent times the app has kicked me out. I wish there was solution to fix this but for no I guess I don’t mind. I’ll figure it out. Thanks!
