Dates wrong

Thanks for flagging this, and sorry. We found the cause and already fixed it. The app showed Sunday 20 September as a Saturday, and that is not a good look for something that is supposed to help you plan your days. 🙈 All dates in the app are stored in Munich time, but the day labels were being rendered in your phone's local time zone. For anyone in the UK, Ireland or further west that shifted midnight back into the previous evening, so every weekday appeared one day early. Users in Germany never saw it, which is why it slipped through. The fix is done ✅ and is going out in the next update. If you give it another try once it lands, everything else (tent hours, the map, the daily plan) has been correct throughout, it was only the weekday label that was wrong. If anything else looks off, reply here or write to us directly and we will sort it. Thanks again. Enjoy the Wiesn 🍻

The developer contacted me requesting I give the new version another shot so I obliged.
Access to a map is still not immediately provided. Rather, the app asks endless questions regarding your planned trip, reeling you into the ecosystem and eventual payment plan. By the time you get access to even the basic features you have provided your name, itinerary, and economic status. (I made it through ~8 pages and gave up.)
An app such as this should have a map and emergency info up front and accessible with concierge options under a separate button. I’m sure the concierge services could be beneficial if trying to wrangle a large group or if Weisn time is limited to a day or two.
Just don’t bother. Grab a paper map or download one online and let the night take you wherever it goes. I have found that overplanning Oktoberfest is energy better spent in the moment.
