Annoying Bluetooth Notification

The Bluetooth notification is impossible to get rid of. Find a way to fix this issue!

Always wants Bluetooth

If you like to have your Bluetooth turned off, then this app will pop up something when you launch it asking for access to Bluetooth. I can’t see any settings to say I never intend to use Bluetooth with this app, since I get by with the other options. It’s a daily annoyance. [updated] It seems this happens even more, now. If it gets accessed because of a push notification, it should know I don’t need Bluetooth at that time. Rather than a pop-up, it should just display it as text on the existing screen. It even pops up a message each day if it is running in the background and I’m not needing it at that time.

Otherwise, I would rate this one or two stars higher. It has decent options, but is too annoying.

not good

hate this app so much. ruined my login experience

Great experience

Great and way faster than other mfa-like products.

no password

great product to use and o don’t have to type a password. great experience.

Non intuitive, painful

Confusing, difficult, time consuming

Update wiped out info

After a forced update all my account info was deleted.

SDO Octopus Authenticator

Very responsive application, pushes arrive immediately. Nice integration with FACEID for extra security. Easy to add additional accounts for complex environments.

Perfect MFA Solution

My day to day MFA solution. Octopus Authenticator App never disappoints me. It is a must have in your bag of tools.

Happy User

Using the App for several years. Works perfectly. Login can be so simple.

Annoying Bluetooth Popup

The app does not allow you opt out of notifications about bluetooth pairing. Not everyone is able to utilize this feature (e.g. remote work). If I want to opt out of bluetooth services I should have the agency to never hear about it again.

App Is a Bluetooth Pest

App does its main job well enough (not that end users ‘choose’ the app - their IT dept. does that), but will constantly pester you about enabling Bluetooth, and has no setting to get you to stop it from asking every time you open the app.

Constant issues

I’m not sure why my company uses this software. It is horrible and has not worked correctly since we got it. Connection issues, getting kicked out and having to call support weekly, app locks up, sometimes it will ping but app won’t respond.

Recent update is awesome

App works way better with recent update. When it pops up on my apple watch it always gives an approve option. Before, it would sometimes show a blue circle and red circle and the rest of the time it would just be a loading screen and I’d have to pull out my phone but now it always works.

Much better.

Brought back watch unlock!

Love that they brought back Apple Watch unlock

Approving SDO requests with Apple Watch works!

In the previous versions, unlocking the screen using the Apple Watch did not work reliably. Often, the app got stuck and showed „processing“ on the watch. So the phone was required to approve the SDO request. This issue seems to be fixed with the current version so that it is no longer required to use the phone to confirm the SDO requests.

WILL steal your data

Company forced the switch from duo, all of a sudden anything I look up on my phone (web md health info, eBay shopping) will show up as an ad on my company computers msn page. It’s super creepy, and to top it off they claim they don’t steal your data. They absolutely do. I’ve no doubt that I’ll get articles on SDO now after looking up if they steal my data lol.

Annoying

Like others have mentioned, the watch app hangs 90% of the time making it useless. If they can’t figure out how to fix that, they should at least work on allowing you to authenticate from the notification rather than having to open up the app.
