Removed listing for no reason
They’ll remove listing for no reason just because it contains a descriptor word that seems dangerous. Maybe understand your policies before working here????

Inconsistent notifications lead to missed sales
Was a great app a few years ago, but as someone who occasionally lists items for sale I find that I frequently get notified for random things about the app but never when someone actually contacts me to purchase something I have listed, often leading to the buyer moving on by the time I get back to them. The notification folder always shows that I have unread notifications that are never there, adding to the confusion. Also , the ads that take over the entire screen after viewing 1 or two products, it’s pretty obnoxious, and the skip button is pretty much non-existent so in order to skip the ads you basically have to close out of the app and reopen it.
It’s sad because it used to be a really good app and they had a lot of potential to turn this into something great but for whatever reason they went in the opposite direction of that

This app is constantly dinging at me as if I have an offer or a sale and it’s nothing. There are no notifications I can’t delete searches. It’s so annoying.

Whats not to like? A free way to sell my items without being charged a 13% seller fee like some of the other platforms out there…. Yes im talking about you Ebay!!!! So i dont mind the occasional 5 second ads. Especially when It saves me a boatload of 💵 when I sell my boat🚤 on offerup!

So many ads it’s unusable
Every third item you click will present you with a full screen ad that has no close button. There are temu ads every 4th row. It’s unusable there’s almost more ads than content.

This app used to be good but now it just went down hill. Lags so bad when you scroll and cant go 10 seconda without accidentally clicking on a hidden ad
Not good for listing auto parts or repair manuals
Every time I list an auto part or manual it automatically changes it to a vehicle that your listing a vehicle. I’m not listing a vehicle and it automatically changes the title to a vehicle. freaking ridiculous
Full of Bots and Scammers
Offerup does a horrible job of filtering new users to the point where you get several phishing attempts a day or malicious links sent to you. In the week that I’ve had this app I’ve gotten multiple scams a day trying to sell items and have only been contacted by ONE real person. Do yourself a favor and use facebook marketplace if you want to sell your stuff.

Great platform
I’ve bought and sold so many items on OfferUp over the years, it’s been a great experience. I’ve met some really cool people, found some amazing deals, and given a lot of good items a second life. Definitely one of my favorite local marketplaces!
