Mismanaged leadership
Update: You can clearly tell this company is in financial trouble and won’t be around much longer. They selling out their customers for quick cash. The app keeps getting worse and the notifications aren’t even relevant just harassment with invasive ads preventing you from even using the app. I assumed they just had incompetent developers but it now shows that they’re to broke to even address issues. Every update is just new mechanics to milk ever cent they can from their users
They are more focused on running invasive fraudulent ads than improving a broken app. They chase away the only users they have left because they’re bankrupt and desperate for cash. To make matters worse they think they can just flood the app with ads and charge an ad free option like it’s Netflix. Just ended up closing the app within 5 minutes after being bombarded with ads and went to FB marketplace. They are doing everything they can to boost FB marketplace and chase all their users away. One of the most mismanaged companies I have ever seen and a clown show of a development team. They will be bankrupt soon. Just a broken and bankrupt version of Mercari and FB Marketplace. Sad to see their leadership desperate and moving in so many wrong direction

Great App
I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It’s great and very useful. But dang the ads are nonstop. I don’t even wanna scroll on here anymore

Won’t let you log in and asked if you’ve made an account recently when you already have an account. I don’t normally write reviews but an app has never irritated me more than this one.

everything was good until now people post items that claim to be free just so that they get attention yet in description they have a whole paragraph saying its not free smh its not fair for those who are paying the subscription

So say you are in the middle of a purchase and you are messaging someone even on your way fallowing directions to a location the add blocks all activity on the app. It’s basically dysfunctional . I can’t stand using it I feel robbed of my time and its lack of function has ruined several transactions.

Ads app
Used to be good, until they start putting ads. Now it’s hard to skip, or hit exit on ads to go back to app. Have to exit app, and log back in to bypass the ads

Useful But Aggravating
I’ve managed to find a couple,of good deals using this app, however it’s quite sluggish and requires frequent restarts. It feels very buggy overall.

Unreliable
I’ve missed multiple sales opportunities. I have notifications I have inbox messages and when I got in my inbox it shows nothing. People are inquiring about purchasing but I can’t read my messages!!!!! Won’t be using this app anymore, Facebook Marketplace is more reliable

I don’t know why they changed the app to have to pay for more people to see your stuff. It’s quite greedy. “hey 5$ for us to not limit the views you get and actually let real humans see your listing!” No I’m deleting this app y’all are so weird for changing it up to ask for money.

Overrun with Bots and Chinese companies
What used to be an amazing resource for selling goods for the public is turned into a useless app, filled with ads, bots and leads and endless promotions that take far too much money for such little results. What used to be an amazing app when it first started is now a useless time waste in a line of others that I wouldn’t even compare to Facebook marketplace which is also full of bots and endless. Noise from marketing campaigns. Time to bring back the days of craigslist and you could actually buy/sell things with real people in very short amount amounts of time for reasonable prices.

How does this app still have a good rating?
Since when are there un-exitable ads on OfferUp? Middle of looking for something. The ads takes over the screen and there is no way out. Have to kill the app and start over
Great Marketplace to buy and sell
Every part you need is available with this app and it’s either new or used your choice on how you choose to buy.
Need to fix the block feature
Have done tons of buying and selling on here with good results but there’s a few stores that post 20+ posts of the same exact items with only a down payment price which filters out the people who are actually selling. I’ve blocked them yet still see there posts what’s the point of blocking if it does nothing. Will be 5 stars once that’s fixed
