Limited views even paid
Sell on several apps and wanted to try this one. Listed numerous items. One item got a premium listing and got a total of about 5 extra views. No listing got more than 5-10 views. Meanwhile,on other apps I’m getting 100s. Not enough people using and definitely not worth paying for.

Ads get in the way too much
When searching for an item it is hard to browse with out accidentally clicking a link to an ad that takes you outside the app. The reason items don’t sell that well anymore is because of the ads that take you outside of the app. You have to force close the app sometimes to get them to get out of the ad.
You should have to intentionally want to see the ad for the ad to be clickable. They make the scrolling so sensitive that if you scroll through the listings you will accidentally click on ads several times before you can see the rest of the listing. Offer up made their app this way since they get paid per click. It’s their way of making sure you click an ad you never intentionally wanted to click on. This makes buying and selling on offer up not worth it anymore. I’m deleting this app and trying something else or going back to Craigslist. In fact I’m staring to hear more people are talking about Craigslist for ads again. Makes sense no sticky ads that you are forced to click on accidentally.

Items won’t sell
Useless app buyers are a one to message and flake everyday executive don’t waste your time posting your items.
Too many scammers
OfferUp is nothing special. You got a simple interface on the app. It’s basic, fine.
However, they have not done enough (if anything) to prevent or remedy scammers using their platform. I’ve reported a scammer and their multiple accounts and their items are still for sale. I know their scams because I was a sucker and bought a fraudulent item. Now, I can see items for sale that show the exact same serial numbers, etc. in the listing. I’m holding the fraudulent item and looking at it for sale on other accounts even after reporting.
OfferUp can do more to investigate and limit scams and report to local law enforcement.
Go use Marketplace, eBay or Craigslist instead. Not worth it.

Offer is great! Wish they did the promo for a week like back in the day. But overall great app.
Super annoying nonsense notifications & makes my phone run very hot
Offer Up has a couple flaws right off the top of my head. If you message a seller, and want to exchange more photos, you have to take it outside of Offer Up. This is something Offer Up could easily fix. Another thing Offer Up should fix is how resource intensive the app is. This is the only app that makes my phone run hot. Are they mining crypto in the background?!
And the nonsense notifications! “Jay needs your opinion about a Toyota Tacoma” etc. I never searched for a Toyota Tacoma and I dgaf. Knock it off with the stupid nonsense notifications whose sole purpose is to increase engagement with the app. But if that engagement is interrupting me and annoying me, it’s going to increase deletion of the app. Make a toggle to turn that nonsense off already!

Some problems
I’ve used the app successfully many times, so I like it, but it’s becoming increasingly flawed. On my M4 iPad, it scrolls to the top of the main page whenever you use the back button. Maddening.
Also becoming choked with duplicate ads, often by retail businesses. If the developers are listening, please fix the scrolling problem!

Horrible
It’s impossible to find listings where the owner is still active. Countless of these listings get posted and sit forever and I can never get a response.
Literally AD Spam
This app used to be usable but now it’s just AD spam app.
Each item you look at will get an ad popup and can’t even close it!
Some you can close after 15-30 seconds but now they made it where you can’t even exit out!

It’s a headache!
Although I already have an account with my email when I tried to send a message to a buyer the app asked me for my mobile number so I typed it, but then it said the phone had too many accounts and I couldn’t send the message because that’s my only phone number. I don’t remember opening any accounts with that number so how else am I supposed to sent the message? Pathetic!

Not what it use to be
This app really sucks anymore. It’s one big advertisement every 2 rows is an add and it you even get close to the add it opens up and you have to wait for it to let you exit out after so long.
