Won’t pair with I phone 8

First time using in several months, won’t pair to iPhone or iPad.
Temp display disappears
Temp display disappears when monitoring. It pairs fine and tracks temp but both Probe 1 and 2 temps disappear every few seconds and sometimes I have to pair the app over and over. Trash!!!
Could use some updating
The app won’t let me set the temp to go off at 204 degrees for brisket. 174 is the max temp. Also the Bluetooth reach is not great. If I go more than 20 feet from the grill it loses contact. Should have stuck with the outdoor gourmet wireless thermometer, the kinks haven’t been fixed on the app yet.

Not sure
This app is sketchy. Why should I have to keep paring the app with the thermometer every time I go to use it. Might not stick with this thermometer due to the app.
