About
Set an A-B loop around the bar you keep missing, choose 60% for today and 100% as the goal, and Ohms Rehearse steps the tempo up for you. It counts only the passes that actually played, so the ladder climbs when you have put in the repetitions, not when a timer runs out.
Import a song you own from Files: MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC or M4A, up to ten minutes long. Ohms Rehearse estimates the key and tempo and lays the chords along the waveform. Every chord shows how sure the analysis is, and the ones it is unsure of carry a question mark and an amber underline so you know which to check. Tap a chord, or use a keyboard, to correct it; your correction stays with the song.
The loop ladder
* Progressive Loop Coach: start tempo, target tempo, step size, repetitions per step and an optional four-beat count-in click that is never stretched or transposed.
* Listen/Play: one pass with the recording, then one pass with it silent so you carry the part yourself. The pair counts as one repetition.
* Pause, resume or stop a plan at any point. A weekly practice log records only what actually played.
* Bar-snapped A-B loops, named and saved per song, each remembering its tempo and transpose.
Speed and pitch
* Slow down to 25% or speed up to 150% without changing pitch. The tempo readout shows the effective BPM as you go.
* Transpose up or down 12 semitones independently of speed, to match your key or a capo position.
Chord charts you can keep
Export your corrected chord timeline as plain text or as a ChordPro file with the key, tempo, timestamps and a confidence note for every chord.
A practice track in the box
An original royalty-free practice track ships inside the app and runs through the same analysis and playback as your own files, so you can try everything before importing a song.
Four-stem practice
Import a version 1 Ohm Split stem-package ZIP containing vocals, drums, bass and other, up to ten minutes long. Adjust each part from 0–100%, mute or solo it, or reset all four controls. The stems share tempo, pitch, A-B loop and transport. Mix controls change playback without changing the saved chord timeline or your corrections. Ohm Split performs the separation; Rehearse imports the resulting package. Ordinary audio-file import is still available.
AUv3 chord analyzer
In a host that supports AUv3 audio effects, insert Rehearse Chord Analyzer on the audio path you want to analyze. It shows a chord estimate from recent host audio with match confidence and passes the host audio through unchanged. The analyzer does not provide the standalone library, stem mixer or Loop Coach inside the host. Estimates are advisory; confidence is not a measured accuracy rate. No specific host compatibility or real-audio accuracy is claimed.
Ohms Rehearse never turns on the microphone, never grades your playing and has no network access. The standalone app analyzes the included practice track and the audio you import; its AUv3 extension analyzes audio supplied by your host. No song catalogue, tabs or lyrics are provided. The same purchase unlocks Ohms Rehearse on Mac too, so you can practice at your desk without paying again or subscribing.
Requires iPadOS 18 or later. Not available on iPhone.

What's New in Ohms Rehearse
1.2.0
October 20, 2026
Import an Ohm Split four-stem ZIP to practice with vocals, drums, bass and other parts. Mute, solo or adjust each part while tempo, pitch and loops stay shared. Rehearse Chord Analyzer adds AUv3 chord estimates with confidence for audio supplied by your host, passing that audio through unchanged. Practice time and Loop Coach also pause when playback stops unexpectedly.
