Why is a device control app trying to sell me stuff? (& steal location & listen to my mic…)
Seriously. Picked up a sphere because it looked cool. Of course proprietary comms. Why!?
The device control is slapped on a shopping app. It’s like going go WalMart for milk & having to go through the whole store to get it. I get wanting/needing Bluetooth permissions, but my location? No. Was looking forward to the music sync, but it wants permissions not for media, but my microphone!? What a stupid way to do it, unless of course they want to listen to more than music.
Doesn’t matter anyway because there is zero configuration with the music. The colors are all over the place, too bright, and even if they were customizable they lag in a way that will give you a headache in minutes.
Nice hardware. Hopefully can figure out a way to control it with 3rd party controls, but the physical button is capable enough in the time being because this app is being deleted asap.

Used to work great
I use an o light sphere for camping and being able to shut them off via the app was great. Suddenly it no longer works. Can’t find Any device… Olight can afford to do better..
Stopped Pairing
The app is just a store to get you to buy more Olight products. It seems if you don’t buy more the pairing functionality is turned off. My light is now completely uncontrollable. I hope you didn’t buy a light before reading reviews.
Gun nut notices?!
I just bought a battery charger, why am I getting push notices meant for knuckledragging gun nuts? Deleting the app and returning the device.
Registration itself is heck of pain

Interrupted audio
When you open this app it takes over your audio interrupting the music you were listening to. PLEASE FIX THIS! It’s very annoying!
So close to being good
Doesn’t allow you to view charging histories , doesn’t track charges of the lithium batteries in the app, only on the tiny screen while charging , doesn’t say why some batteries go into the bad bin, not even on the screen. Just put a battery in and sometimes it goes into the bad bin, sometimes not
Basically it would be so easy to have the charger report of the batteries and they’re last charging status results etc

Good product with bad app (ads)
Front of the app is nothing but junk advertising and Olight storefront. The actual product control is behind all the garbage. The product control should be upfront and the store should be off to the side. The only notifications is to sell products not for the thing I actually am using.
Poorly designed app
I appreciate that this app is able to push updates to my Ostation pro but what annoys me is marketing dump of notifications and that I can’t delete anything from my shopping card.
My favorite lights
These are the only flashlights I will buy anymore. My days of buying batteries are over. The customer service is awesome and the lifetime warranty is untouchable. I love the BIG brightness in a small flashlight. Super easy, magnetic, charging, and most of the flashlights have a magnetic base and you can just snap them onto any metal surface.

Not usable
This is not really an app… it is just a tool designed to upsell you on every product they have. You can’t even use it unless you register and login each time you open it. Terrible…

The app is constantly micro refreshing and not letting me setup automation with the sphere. It’s getting annoying with the refreshing issue!! Needs a fix before I change my rating.
No connection
The sphere just blinks endlessly but no connection on app
App Unusable
It won’t let me log in. When it does, my devices are gone and won’t let me add them back.

Mandatory to use the app to keep the Ostation 2 Pro up to date... Unable to find the device... The app just fails even after factory reset the ostation... Wow simply wow... Fix this ASAP
Device management and a store -trash
The app is a store shoving products down your throat, with device management buried deep. Worse yet device management connections are difficult to setup. Very disappointed with this product, would not recommend.
