About
OneBeat Ear trains your ear on real guitar recordings — not synthesized tones.
Every interval and chord you hear was played on a guitar, so what you learn
transfers straight to the instrument in your hands.
THREE DRILLS, EASIEST FIRST
• Higher or Lower — did the second note go up or down? The gentlest way into ear
training, and the one that builds the instinct everything else rests on.
• Intervals — name the distance between two notes, from a minor 2nd to an
octave, ascending or descending.
• Chords — major, minor, sus2, sus4, power chords and dominant 7ths, strummed
rather than stacked.
ANSWERS THAT TEACH
Every answer is explained, right or wrong. You get the verdict, the reason —
"That's a Perfect 4th — 5 semitones" — the notes that were played, and a
guitar tab showing exactly where they sit on the neck. Missing a question is
how you learn the sound, not a dead end.
TRACK WHAT YOU ACTUALLY MISS
Ten questions per session. Progress keeps your accuracy, your total answered
and your best streak for each drill, plus a weak-spots list of the answers you
get wrong most often — so you know what to work on next, instead of guessing.
