Works great except one issue

Works great except one issue the issue is passwords for my Wi-Fi. It seems like for some reason it doesn’t like complicated passwords however, the ironic thing is it indicates this, but my password really isn’t that complicated, and even though it says something about an issue with the password I told it to do it anyways basically or however, it phrased it work fine without an issue, but if this is an issue, this could be something they need to address because if someone need of a complicated password or long password or both, it seems like this could be an issue but for me it seems to work just fine of the warning. Sidenote I really like the vacation mode. I can hit that mode. Go on vacation and just as I’m starting to get home.Say an hour and a half two hours I can hit it and my house is nice and warm when I get back to my home this feature seems to work really well.

Been using it for a couple years now works great

Been using it for a couple years now and it seems to work pretty good all in all the only time I ever had problems I discovered was when my Wi-Fi went out when I was away from home and when my Internet went down, which where I live is a common occurrence That happens a couple times a month. But that’s not to blame on the app or the one link system of course. But as for the app had some little issues at the beginning if I remember right, but haven’t had problems ever since. once I got it hooked up and registered my thermostat everything went smoothly. It’s kinda nice to be able to go on a trip. Put it on vacation mode while I’m gone for a week and then hit it back up to temp when I’m at an hour hour and a half out in the house is nice and warm then I also like being able to turn on just the fan mode to circulate the air better before I come home in the summer helps cool the house a little bit Due to the fact, I don’t have air conditioning
In conclusion, all in all, it’s a great system. The app definitely is good and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this combination of the system and the app Again.

Therm-500

App Runtimes does not work or match Therm-500 wall unit.

No way to tell if the Firmware is current. Firmware update via WiFi is not possible or available.

One link First Alert Thermostat

Unit works. Love the ability to add your own photos that scroll on the display.
However, the software for the indoor thermostat does not recognize the wired sensor on the outdoor heat pump unit.
Unable to see gas daily usage.
Since the app auto updated, we can no longer see monthly run times and can only see one week of electric only (heat pump mode). Upsetting the support seems to be almost nonexistent. Phone support unable to assist and does not research concerns or call back as promised.

Works great

I have 8 FirstAlert WiFi thermostats in 3 different houses located in 3 different cities. The OneLink app works great to control the thermostats, regardless of Internet source, WiFi or cellular. I do not understand the negative reviews. Problems could possibly be due to operator error or WiFi issues.

Terrible experiance

Needed to reset my password for unknown reason. Once reset got message of “Success” but no access to the app to change my thermostat,, 45 minutes later 4 more ‘success’ ful login layer needed to reset my password again, finally got in..... terrible experience, 1 hour of my life wasted!

Keeps crushing

The app keeps logging your off and when you’re trying to login first starts flickering and then crushes and closes. I really don’t know if the developer receives the crush details and, if they do, why this is still an issue. As a developer myself, I know there’s no issues one cannot solve. It’s just a matter of priorities. I guess the company priority is just to sell you the thermostat that turns into a regular/dumb/old fashioned one as the smart features are not accessible due to the app malfunctions. When an average app rating is this low, it tells a lot about the company.

Update is worse

I am not happy with this update it’s slower than the previous version and constantly requires me to login again. The old version was better and trouble free.

Slowwwww what happen it use to be good

What the heck is going on? It take long to to send a command , freezes, absolutely waist of app . I might sell this crap on eBay and move to something better like nest .

Refresh

Compared to the previous version this update though more pleasing to the eye is slow and takes forever to refresh...also when it comes to sending commands to the thermostat for some unknown reason in this update you reversed the send/cancel buttons - these type of things drive seniors absolutely batty...

Absolutely horrible latency problems compared to the last version...your update has all but rendered this app useless...sitting around testing an update with your own constituency - is not a valid field test...

How horrible is this update? I’m removing my thermostat - selling it on eBay getting something with something with a more reliable app...

Unable to turn schedule off using iOS 12.4

With the latest version there’s no way to turn off the schedule as there was before under “Configure”. The wide button says “Disabled due to schedule” and doesn’t do anything. Please bring back this ability.

Unreliable and Out of Date

Works fine, then stops for no apparent reason. Same version forever with no updates. I need a reliable app because I have problems with stairs. When it works, it can actually save money as it makes it easier to turn AC/heating on and off, but ONLY when it works. I’m on the verge of replacing the thermostat with another brand.

Good App but No Global Connection

Although you can control your thermostat through their website from any location. This app needs to be on same wifi as home to be connected to thermostat. Which is working on home but very disappointing that you can not control your thermostat from your office or out of town if you need to. Other than app works fine.

Won’t connect

Great when it worked. Will not connect reliably. Very disappointed.

Quit. No updates in 2years

I liked it when it worked. But iOS changes are killing it and there are no updates.

Stopped working

It worked great up until the recent IOS update. Now it's no longer connecting.

Great app and I can send messages

This app has easy to use screens that allows me to control and monitor my thermostat at home remotely. The first screen gives me temperature up/down and on/off control functions. The second screen gives me the alerts, HVAC unit runtimes for heating-cooling modes and also allows me to send text messages to the front screen of the thermostat. I have sent "Stop touching the thermostat buttons!" from my work to the front screen on the stat at home to get my kids to leave the thermostat alone. Works great!!
