App lets it down.
First things first, we love our OnlyCat cat flap. To date, it has stopped Nala bringing in 4 mice and 2 birds.
The reason I gave 4* instead of 5* is the app. Some of the wording of the alerts is confusing and you can’t do a great deal with the app.
It would be good to have some of the functionality seen on other well known brands:
- Clearer alert message. (“Cleared for Entry”, when an unknown cat approaches the cat flap does nothing for your blood pressure!)
- Filtering by cat name.
- Summary of each cat’s status (in or out) on a separate screen of the app
- indicating the cat has looked through the flap, rather than having gone through it
- Better use of the eInk display. Just having the word “Ready” displayed is a waste of real estate. Perhaps have a display of which cat is in and which is out (as shown in some of the early advertisements).

Better than Sureflap
Roughly a week in using the OnlyCat cat flap and App. On the first night we prevented a mouse and a bird being brought in by our cat so the A.I. definitely works! The app allows various ways to control the entry and exit options and there are further improvements expected in the use of the e-ink screen which currently shows connection status but will hopefully soon show whether a cat is in or out. Only Cat smart cat flap
This has given us so much peace of mind, we’ve had it now for at least 8 months, it’s a brilliant bit of kit. We’ve had several detections but thankfully no live or dead mice, shrews or birds to chase / recover from around the house.
Works great
App works really well with the door. Set-up was super easy. I'm looking forward to having more options in the push notifications menu.

Awesome bit of kit
We’ve had ours for around a month now, after abit of getting used to the cats are using it to enter/exit the house feeling. The features are fantastic and the ability to set a curfew stops us from trawling the streets looking for them at stupid o’clock.
It’s yet to stop any ‘contraband’ entering the house but I’m sure it will rise to the occasion when it happens.
Suggested Improvements:
1. Attempted entry/exit activity in different colours. Sometimes the cats can’t get out because the door is locked or they change their mind on entering. At the moment this is logged the same as a successful entry/exit on the activity screen.
2. Cats in/out at a glance feature would be great on both the app and catflap screen.
3. Swiping left on an activity to delete or save and selection of multiple activities.

Die Klappe ist jeden Cent wert! Wir sind so happy damit. Keine Mäuse mehr im Haus. Danke an die Entwickler 🤗 Es funktioniert hervorragend!!

Man merkt, dass sowohl die App als auch die Katzenklappe selbst von äußerst fähigen Leuten entwickelt wurden. Auch wenn die Klappe erst seit einigen Monaten verkauft wird, fühlt sich das Produkt insgesamt ausgereift an.
Wir haben die Klappe seit nun genau 10 Tagen in Betrieb und gestern hat sie erfolgreich erkannt, dass unser Kater eine Maus reingeschmuggelt hat. Da wir die Klappe noch im Trainingsmodus hatten (ein Modus, um die Katze an die Klappe zu gewöhnen) hat unser Kater die Maus noch reinbringen können. Aber wir haben dank der App auf beiden unserer Handys sofort einen Critical Alert bekommen, haben sofort das Video sichten können und sind dann sofort ins Wohnzimmer gerannt und haben im Handumdrehen die Maus einfangen und wieder aussetzen können.
Was für eine Erleichterung! Ich möchte mir nicht ausmalen, wie ätzend es wieder gewesen wäre, die halbe Küche auseinander bauen zu müssen, um die Maus einfangen zu können.
Und dann muss ich den Customer-Support loben! Wir hatten uns gewünscht, ein paar der Videoaufnahmen zu löschen, da wir auch drauf zu sehen sind. Wegen der Kameraperspektive passiert das selten, aber Datenschutz ist uns wichtig. Kaum zu glauben, aber ein paar Tage später hat das OnlyCat-Team eine Löschfunktion in die App eingebaut.
Ein tolles Produkt. Beste Anschaffung ever! Und es macht einfach Spaß morgens noch im Bett die Videos der Nacht anzuschauen, wie unser Kater rein und rausgegangen ist.

Great Product app needs a little more work
Absolutely fantastic product cannot fault it.
App is easy to set up and use.

Great product and app
Really impressed with how both the app and cat flap work. The app was really easy to setup with very clear instructions. It connected to the cat flap first time and has worked really well since. Can’t fault it.
Erster Monat ist rum
Also die Klappe funktioniert absolut perfekt, die App bietet alle Möglichkeiten alles nur erdenkliche einzustellen. Videos und Meldungen erscheinen quasi in Echtzeit. Der Kundenservice ist super hilfsbereit.
